Professors Larry Van Tassell and Dave Aiken discuss their new article looking at the use of planting cover crops and no-till and reduced tillage practices in Nebraska and surrounding states. They also discuss the concept of additionality, which is mentioned a number of times in the new Growing Climate Solutions Acts, and what it might mean for farmers and ranchers hoping to participate in environmental markets. 

Larry Van Tassell is head of the Department of Agricultural Economics and director of the Center for Agricultural Profitability at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Dave Aiken is an agricultural law and water specialist with UNL Agricultural Economics.
