Rev. Dr. Vilanculos is the Rector of the United Methodist University in Mozambique. He has worked closely with denominational authorities for some time, and is one of the minds behind the Christmas Covenant. Over the course of two different conversations, he and I explore the dynamics at play in southeastern Africa in the UMC and how it is that a better future might be leveraged in the present for the denomination as a whole.
