  • Remembering Sam Neill
As you no doubt will have heard, yesterday we lost perhaps the finest actor New Zealand has ever produced, Sir Sam Neill, at the age of 78. From Kiwi classics like 'Sleeping Dogs' and 'Hunt for the Wilderpeople', to arthouse darlings like 'Possession', and blockbuster hits like 'Jurassic Park', the breadth of Sam's career was astonishing. Tributes have been pouring in from around the world today from the likes of Steven Speilberg, Jeff Goldblum, Toni Collette, Cillian Murphy, Jacinda Ardern, Christopher Luxon. Kiwi screen legend and a close friend of Sam's Ginette McDonald spoke to Emile.

Wallace Chapman and Emile Donovan star in the shortest show on radio, where they show they really can make something out of nothing, join them to be part of their delight, or to simply despair. Wallace will also preview what's on The Panel tonight.

  • Feature Interview
For most of her life, Libby Trickett's heart powered one of Australia's greatest swimming careers. Many New Zealanders will remember her by her maiden name, Libby Lenton. A four-time Olympic gold medalist and multiple world-record holder, nothing about her suggested she was at risk of a life-threatening heart condition. Then, a year ago, everything changed. What she thought was a panic attack turned out to be a spontaneous coronary artery dissection, or SCAD. That's a tear in the wall of a coronary artery that can trigger a heart attack. It disproportionately affects otherwise healthy women, often in their 40s and 50s, and yet it remains poorly understood and frequently misdiagnosed. Now, Trickett is using her experience to raise awareness of SCAD and to campaign for more research into conditions that primarily affect women.

Hair loss affects millions of people, but it's something many of us still feel uncomfortable talking about.
For some it's simply part of getting older, but for others it can have a real impact on confidence and wellbeing.
Hair transplants have become far more common over the past decade. But how do they actually work?
Who are they suitable for? And what should people know before considering one?
Dr. Kai leads the hair transplant team at The Auckland Clinic and Emile put all your questions to him.

  • Māori baby names gaining popularity
In a few years' time there's about to be a lot more Maias, Arohas, and Kauris in the playground.
Recent figures and search trends reveal more and more Kiwi parents are considering traditionally Māori names for their kids, regardless of their own ethnic background.
So, is this a sign of the growing visibility of te reo Māori in New Zealand?
If you don't whakapapa Māori, is there anything you should know before choosing a te reo name for your child?
Dr Awanui Te Huia is a kaupapa Māori researcher and one of our leading scholars on te reo Māori revitalisation.

  • Emile meets Australia's most popular landscaper
Allow me to introduce you to one of the most satisfying corners of the internet. I'm talking of course about the online world of Nathan Stafford, better known as Nathan's Lawns and Gardens. Nathan is a Sydney-based gardener and landscaper who has built up millions of followers by filming himself mowing, trimming, weeding, water-blasting, and restoring neglected properties for people who are doing it tough. And over the weekend he crossed the ditch to spend a few days offering his services to Kiwi families in need - but before that, he popped into our Auckland studio for a wee chinwag.
