Wallace Chapman and Emile Donovan star in the shortest show on radio, where they show they really can make something out of nothing, join them to be part of their delight, or to simply despair. Wallace will also preview what's on The Panel tonight.

  • Political Group Chat: How old is too old to be in Parliament?
It's time for our politics group chat, which is rapidly becoming one of my favourite chats .. mainly because we have wonderful guests who are happy to say what they are thinking out loud about topics that have been in the news the past week .. Joining me in Auckland is comedian and commentator Tim Batt, political scientist Dr Lara Greaves, and in Fielding screenwriter, podcaster and member of the Free Speech Union Dane Giraud.

  • Explaining "disarmament" and "deconfliction" practically
The ongoing conflicts in Iran, Lebanon, Gaza and Ukraine mean terms like "deconfliction" and "disarmament" are becoming more and more prevalent in news reports. But it can be very easy to get lost in such jargon so we thought we would get a better understanding as to what the terms mean and how they affect international relationships. To do that, I'm joined by Dr Marianne Hanson. Marianne is an associate professor of international relations. She taught arms control, international law and diplomacy at the University of Queensland for 30 years.

  • "Stop scrolling and start strolling!"
We'd love to know what you're up to this long weekend and how you plan to celebrate Matariki. Some Canterbury DOC rangers have been sharing some of their favourite winter walks as way to get people to stop scrolling and start strolling. They prioritised sunshine and views, low-difficulty, and the dryness of the tracks. So if you're looking for something to do this long weekend, DOC's Lily Toulson is here to help.

  • The Mosgiel man who gave 200 pizzas to flood stricken residents
It's been a tough week for many of you in the South Island coping with the effects of flooding, closed roads and damaged infrastructure. For those not affected it can be hard looking on and not knowing how to help. Although that's not a problem for our next guest. Gagan Singh who owns Pizza Hut franchises in Mosgiel, dished out more than 200 free pizzas to flood-stricken Mosgiel residents. He chats to Emile.

  • Want to save on your power bill? This chat is for you!
We chatted about power prices on the show yesterday and boy did you have thoughts! The Electricity Authority says most households have seen an average increase of about eight percent to their bills this winter and that's on top of the eight percent rise last year. It prompted lots of questions from you about how to save money on power bills and ways to use electricity efficiently. So we thought it would be a good idea to have an expert in to answer those questions, and any others you might have. Do send us any questions you've got to 2101 or email us [email protected]. Dr Gareth Gretton is lead advisor at the Energy Efficiency & Conservation Authority and he joins Emile.
