Alex is the author of Inconceivable: My Life-Altering, Eye-Opening Journey from Infertility to Motherhood, which chronicles her painful and beautiful path to motherhood. She tells Ali all about her seven year-long journey, which began when she found out at age 34 that she was in premenopause. Alex talks about doing several rounds of IVF, what happened when she asked her sister to be an egg donor, why and how they pivoted to surrogacy, and the devastating stillbirth of their baby girl, Sam. She also talks about using surrogates in both the U.S. and Canada, and how they ended up, amazingly, having three babies in 15 months.
