EPISODE 169./
Nothing like starting this week's episode with a brief spout of toilet trauma followed by an extensive chat about our Chrismtas plans and Christmas histories! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
We have to kick off beauty news this week with a corrections corner, because Alex was very wrong about the new shade of Glowlust - Sunstone. But in actual beauty news, Australian MUA Tanielle Jai has released a range of new brushes, Ultra Violette have FINALLY announced the release date of their SPF Skin Tint, Glossier have collaborated with the new Gossip Girl to release their Holiday Gift sets, and personally, we're excited about the Bath Duo - give us 10 million bath pods pls. Raw Beauty Kristi is back on Youtube after a mental health break and we're glad to see her doing well, and Ariana Grande's R.e.m beauty launch products have been officially announced.
Following beauty news, we have a Listener Question, or maybe it's a beauty breakdown. It's both! We had you guys write into us for answers as to why your blush and foundation are disappearing by the end of the day. Well dear listeners, there are a few suspects in this disappearance, so we're going to assess them one by one so you can decide who the criminal really is...
To finish off this week's episode, we're topping things off with our beauty faves, non beauty faves and snacks of the week! Apologies if you feel we ran away... Brenton came in to go to bed at the end of this ep haha.

Hirons has done it again and brought out her skincare kits. This time around, we’re stoked that she’s done this in her own right and not in partnership with other retailers. We’re talking about Jaclyn Hill again and her jewellery line. Ariana Grande’s brand R.E.M has announced the launch of tiny minions *ahem* lipsticks. And new in the Australian Skincare world, we have a 4 step skincare system launch from JS Health and a … particularly familiar looking new skincare line from Bondi Sands.
Next up, this week Lisa and Alex both watched the 4 Corners Documentary entitled Cosmetic Cowboys, and think you all should too. We wanted to chat about our thoughts on the doco and share a PSA to anyone thinking about getting work done.
Finally, we’re finishing things off with our beauty Faves, Non Beauty Faves and Snacks this week.

EPSIODE 166./
Wow, guys. We have to start this description with an apology for our sound quality. we thought we were GREAT but upon editing reflection, we're not even sure if Alex's mic was on. Awks for us.
This is our first time catching up in person, so as you can expect, chaos ensued. Oh and then a STORM ensued. A wild episode.
First up in beauty news this week, Jaclyn Hill has announced that her new line, Jaclyn Roxanne is Jewellery.... not robes... a bit of a weird flex, but ok Jaclyn. Next, Mecca Holiday is heeeere so fill your shopping carts and be merry. We're going to touch briefly on our top pics, but can't go into them in too much depth because we'll do that in our holiday gift guide. David Jones is making a move into the sexual wellness category, Jacquemous is doing beauty - but what, or when? we don't know. Finally, it's not really beauty news, but can we touch on Finstagrams?
NEXT UP A HAIL STORM
To finish off, we have our beauty faves, non beauty faves and snacks to see us out! We can't wait to tell you all about our VERY exciting Christmas plans for you guys... so be sure to follow us on Instagram @allbasescovered.pod for all the details.

EPISODE 164./
Happy freedom week Melbourne listeners!
We start this weeks episode with TWO gifts to bestow upon you. Firstly, how to make a DOC Mojito.. Secondly, how to preserve Basil on the bench as scientifically explored by Lisa. Thank you to everyone who DM'd us to let us know they enjoyed our Interview episode last week with Georgie!
First up in Beauty News, Diptyque is PISSED because a brand called Italics has said that burning a Diptyque candle smells like burning money... Secondly, Liberty Belle Xmas gift sets are heeeere, and speaking of Christmas, the most wonderful time of year has arrived along with Mecca Holiday Packaging. And we think, this could be their best year yet?! Estee Lalonde revealed to us this week the products that are launching her Mirror Water line. Interestingly, but not surprisingly, It's a body-product, bath focussed range, but we had hoped that it would be homewares! This week it was also announced that Makeup Forever is being stocked at The Iconic as part of their new (ish) Iconic Beauty range, It's a big move in the AUS beauty retail space, and we're curious about the future of beauty purchasing by Australian consumers as purchasing is going to become more fixed to price, and reward programs. Finally in beauty news, we've come full circle as Tik Tok-ers are using Lube as primer... again.
Thank you this week to Vush for supporting this weeks episode of the Podcast! You can explore their new Intimate Care range here: https://bit.ly/3B7zsST

Podcast fam, let's offer a warm welcome to our 2nd guest to our podcast interview series, Georgie! *pauses for applause*
If you're a regular listener to the pod, you'll have heard about Georgie from our frequent mentions of her Instagram account 'Conceiving it all' or 'Conceiving food babies' as it was formerly known.
Georgie is passionate about exploring our relationship with food, our bodies and ourselves. Having studied Journalism before making the transition to leave, Georgie now works as a commercial disputes lawyer whilst also juggling her online community and fighting fatphobia.
In this weeks interview you can look forward to Georgie's perspective on the beauty industry and the important responsibility this space holds in disclosure.
We also chat about her squeaky clean routine, why fake tan is problematic and her very healthy obsession with butter.
If you enjoyed todays' episode, please head over to the Conceiving it All instagram @conceivingitall so you can keep an ear out for the release of her very own podcast!

EPISODE 162./
Heeeey guys! A HAPPY week to us all because it's our last week of Melbourne lockdown - WOOOO. Lots of home-related chats to get through, and lap it up, because it might be the end of reno chat for a while whilst we frolic in our freedom.
First up in beauty news this week, Jaclyn Hill is officially a distributer of beauty products?! 'Iminit'. Is it a weird flex for Jaclyn Hill to go into logistics? Yes. Was the website made on piczo? Definitely. Next, RMS was purchased this week by Hylander Partners. Lisa Eldridge has launched a new 40 shade foundation range, and Francis Kurkdijan has become the new fragrance director behind Christian Dior Parfums and speaking of fragrances, Le Labo has brought out The Matcha Fragrance.
Next up, we have a LQOQ: "I woke up this morning and had a pilates class in the park. I got home and had a shower. Do i then need to oil cleanse, then normal cleanse before reapplying all of my skincare and SPF?" Whilst we don't have THE only answer, we have a couple of ways that we'd tackle that question.
Finally, our beauty faves, non beauty faves and snacks! If you enjoyed this weeks episode of the pod, please chuck us a follow on IG @allbasescovered.pod and leave us a review
