THE RUNNING EFFECT PODCAST

American Record Holder Parker Stinson Shares Untold Stories From His Past Including Why He Almost Retired & More

Listen Later

Today's podcast is one of the best we've ever released. It is entertaining, deep, impactful, and will leave you walking away hearing one of the best stories from our sport.

The man who makes his first appearance on the podcast today is Parker Stinson, the man who was one of the first athletes I looked up to when I became a fan of the sport in middle school.

If you're not familiar with Parker, he is the US record holder in the 25K. He has seven top-three finishes in major road races over distances ranging from 10K to 25K. He is a nine-time All-American from the University of Oregon where he was third in the 5000 meters at back-to-back NCAA championships. Parker is the only person to win the 10,000 meters at the US Junior Championships three times. He also placed sixth at the IAAF Junior World Championships and won the Pan-Am Junior title. He currently holds a Marathon PR of 2:10:53. He is based out of Boulder, Colorado, where he runs for Roots Running, and has represented Saucony for his entire professional running career.

In today's episode, Parker dives into his full story and paints the picture of where the sport has taken him; he dives into the ups, the downs, and everything in between. He shares untold stories such as almost retiring from the sport, and more. This is a top-five favorite podcast I've ever released. It's raw and emotional at times, but also entertaining and inspiring. Needless to say, this is one you will not want to miss. In fact, I'd be willing to bet you'll want to listen to it again after the first time.

So, with all of that said, tap into the Parker Stinson Special.
