America's Credit Rating Gets a Downgrade

Fitch Ratings drops U.S. debt to AA+, from AAA, which Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen calls arbitrary and unwarranted. But the country's debt is high and going higher, and no one wants to tackle Social Security or Medicare. Plus, a handful of House Republicans threaten to vote down a GOP tax bill unless it expands the deduction for state and local taxes, or SALT, which is a subsidy to California, New York and New Jersey.
