2023 was for all intents and purposes a rough year for Arizona State Sun Devils athletics. The Sun Devils football program, in year one of a rebuild, had plenty of downs with some reasons for optimism, while the Sun Devils basketball program started the 2023-24 season with some frustrating losses. However, 2024 is a season we believe should hold plenty of optimism for fans. The basketball program currently holds the 16th-ranked recruiting class and could have some key players return to make the team more of a consistent threat, especially with more size. On the gridiron, the football program will benefit from year two of the Kenny Dillingham era with Jaden Rashada set to return, along with several other key players like Elijhah Badger. The overall arching theme of the Arizona State Sun Devils athletic programs returning to prominence has been three simple words coined by Dillingham -- Activate the Valley.
