Incredible crime story unfolding now in South City. 8 days ago a woman, Elizabeth Cooke, attempts to steal a man’s car in Marine Villa, he catches her in the act, she flees, dropping her phone in his car. The man offers the phone to responding police who decline to take it. The man proceeds to take over her facebook account and posts hundreds of her messages, texts, and photos with detailed incriminating planning and execution of dozens of thefts around S.City in the past 6 months. Some of the property is now being recovered thanks to these tips. Her many junkie accomplices are posting sputtering denials. He posts her google history with gems like “how to hotwire [brand]” “what is easiest car to steal”.

Then he finds something much darker. She befriended a 62yo ex-con last Dec, Bobby Phillips, who supposedly becomes so enamored of her that three days later he writes a will leaving everything to Ms. Cooke. Two more days later Bobby dies of a drug overdose in her house. There’s mounting circumstantial evidence she deliberately spiked his drugs.

Then Natalie noticed on the screenshot of the last page of Mr. Phillips’ "will", despite her scribbling out her handwritten address, it is printed on the same sheet in small font just below. Elizabeth lived in North City at 5155 Kensington Ave. I checked through my old spreadsheets and unsurprisingly, Conan and I were inside that house scouting for a 2017 tax auction. It was a mediocre vaco at that time with all the utilities ripped out, not even worth a minimum bid to me, which is where this man died in Jan 2021.
