The hinderances are the first kind of thing that we look at in the fourth foundation of mindfulness. These are areas of exploration and investigation with mindfulness; we take the same skill we have been building in all four foundations of mindfulness; present time non-judgmental investigative awareness.
First foundation of mindfulness is the body.
Second foundation of mindfulness is the feeling tone.
Third foundation of mindfulness is of the mind.
Fourth foundation of mindfulness is of the investigation and exploration of the collection of things we can experience and know.
