How relevant are the teachings of ancient philosophers for modern problems? Marcus Arelius didn’t have social media. The Buddha never got stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic. At first glance the stressors of modern life seem so different from what humans had to deal with a few hundred or especially a few thousand years ago.
