In this episode, three-time cancer survivor, Wendy Leeds, shares 4 powerful ways to deal with the isolation and fear of COVID-19 or any other crisis. Drawing on her own experiences, Wendy shares the story of the night when she was in the hospital dealing with chemo for leukemia. She was afraid and not sure how she would be able to get through the fear, when a visit from a social worker helped her discover a simple way to switch her thinking. She explains that crisis always involves the loss of your normal everyday life, and she reveals the way to let go of the old "normal," and create a bridge to your new "normal."
In times like these, she suggests it's even more important for us all to practice "radical kindness," both with ourselves and with those around us. She also explores how important it is to open our hearts and forgive ourselves as well all the people in our life.
Finally, Wendy shares the heroic story that helped her get through treatment for breast cancer and forever changed the way she deals with crisis.
