Today, we’re going to talk about thought suppression because it’s something we all do and we can all relate to. Yes, even myself. We try to wish our thoughts away. Everyone does it but it's more likely to happen for those with anxiety disorders, specifically Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Panic Disorder, Social Anxiety, Healthy Anxiety and Phobias. After all, we'll do anything to avoid the thought and anxious feelings that come. But this can actually cause way more harm than good.

Support the show (https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/anxietygone)What is the healing process? There are so many different avenues for healing anxiety and many of us need several of them in order to fully overcome these terrible feelings. For example, taking medication isn’t going to address the childhood trauma that instilled these fears in you and it isn’t going to rewire your brain to erase limiting beliefs. These are only a few of the things that contribute to your anxiety as a whole. If you just take medication, you’re just masking your symptoms, which can be enough for the time being. But if you really want to take back control of your life, you have to add other healing modalities.
So today, I’m going to break the healing process down for you in some small simple steps.

Hello Warriors! Alrightie, so let’s get to it. Like the rest of the world, I recently watched Framing Britney. Now, bear with me because this episode isn’t about Britney and it actually applies to each and every one of us. Unfortunately, many of us don’t realize that which is what inspired this episode.

Hello Warriors! Today, I want to talk about medication but not in the sense of whether or not you should take it. I am a strong believer in choosing whatever option is best for you but in order to make the best decision, you need the right information. So, my hopes for this episode is to give you a little bit more perspective on anxiety medications, the do’s, the don’ts, what to expect and the whole sha-bang.

Trauma affects the brain in many ways and can result in mental and physical health concerns. But you can heal and you can do so right in the comfort of your own home.

But this is often easier said than done and for most of us, we have no idea where to start when it comes to self healing. So, in this podcast, I'll be teaching you the SAVERS routine. Have you ever stopped to think about what common sayings are actually telling you if they're said without context? "Kill Them With Kindness" is something we've all said and we've all heard a million times before, and sure, we know that it means to not sink to someone else's level. BUT, have you ever thought about what it's saying and how it's perceived in the brain when context isn't provided? Think about the kids in your life for a second. It's safe to assume they don't have a clue what this saying implies, so they take it at face value and...
Without context, you are basically saying that you have to be nice to people who aren't nice to you. It doesn't matter how horrible someone is treating you; you still have to be kind to them. You have to treat people well even if they treat you horribly.
And this isn't true, nor should it ever be. You don't have to be mean but you definitely don't have to be kind to someone who disrespects, bullies, or degrades you.
