He started playing before the Opening Ceremony, and ended with a silver medal on the penultimate day of Beijing 2022 - it's been quite the rollercoaster for Bruce Mouat these Winter Olympics - in fact he has spent over 40 hours in competition since his campaign began on 2 February!
Now on the final day he'll carry the Union flag at the Closing Ceremony.
Bruce, Grant Hardie, Bobby Lammie and Hammy McMillan Jr just missed out to Sweden in the Men's Curling Gold Medal match - and Bruce had earlier finished 4th in the Mixed doubles with Jen Dodds.

Mica McNeill is heading to her second Olympics having built a 30m bobsleigh run in her backyard during lockdown! Montell Douglas is the first British woman to ever compete in the Summer and Winter Olympics and is a one of a kind having done it now in the same City - Beijing '08 and Beijing '22!

More history has been made at the Beijing Winter Olympics - with Northampton based Jamaican Benjamin Alexander competing in alpine skiing.
Despite really poor weather conditions, he made it to the end of two runs of the Giant Slalom when 50% entrants fell. He may have been the lowest ranked in the end and more than a minute behind Marco Odermatt of Switzerland who took the gold, but as Benjamin told Michael that's not the whole story...

Just over 6 months ago, Triathlon's Mixed Team Relay was one of the standout moments of the delayed Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Now the event is set to make its debut at the World Triathlon Championship Series Leeds in June, as well as being part of the 'home' Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in six months time.
