We start the podcast in the usual light hearted jovial way, both grateful for holidays and the ability to travel, before delving into something slightly more serious.  

Freddo read a book that prompted a new way of thinking that was outside of his usual echo chamber and prompted a lot of research into a sensitive and divisive topic. Benji also researched a lot to attempt to give the subject the balance and delicate attention it deserves. We do clearly state that we are in no way fully informed on the subject matter, but felt that we wanted to discuss it anyway, with an open mind. Listeners are advised to proceed with compassion and understanding, knowing that we are all on a journey together to try to understand the world better. 

There’s beauty in the difference of opinions and world views.

 "... it’s impossible to be truly objective, you can try to be fair, from within your own biases, from your own culture and conditioning, even your language predisposes you to view the world a particular way, so I am trying to be fair, but I’m conscious that I’m speaking from my life experience, my study of the world, my personal view of the world, my family and my cultural background. If I grew up somewhere else, with a different family and upbringing, it’s entirely possible I’d view the world a completely different way. But the more different biases you can hear, the fairer picture you can build up of the overall picture."

Well listeners, this may be the last in person podcast for a while, as Benji prepares to leave Morzine. In this episode we discuss the recent controversy of Joe Rogan, the use of the N-word and cancel culture. Freddo opens up about his plan to leave Morzine and how the grass always seems greener, while Benji has a humorous take on the situation. 

Benji is absent from this episode, this is a discussion between Freddo and Pete Davies, the guy that was there on the day of the accident. We discuss how it went down, from Pete's perspective, how the day unfolded after Freddo snowboarded off a cliff and the resulting injury that left him paralysed from the waist down. We talk about how it could have been worse, what could have been done differently, and how Pete feels about it 3 years later and if it has affected his life at all. Things get a bit emotional at the end, but this is a valuable conversation between two friends that shared a very traumatic experience.

This Episode starts off with a look back on twenty twenty one and all the things we have to be grateful for. The reasons we have for finding the silver lining and the hope it perpetuates. 

Then, it takes a turn for the more sinister. We delve into what the future might look for us earthlings. Will we follow the flock lead by our idiotic politicians and the power hungry Zuckerberg or can we quit our addiction to consuming and realise that mere compliance may well be the path to our end.
