The BYU Cougars are hiding who their starting quarterback will be Saturday when they open the 2024 college football season against the Southern Illinois Salukis and Jake Hatch said BYU football coach Kalani Sitake's tone and message Monday during his weekly press conference at Brigham Young University (BYU) leaves him with more questions than answers at this point.

Jake then talked about the release of the BYU depth chart that might as well be called the "OR sheet" with a hat tip to Jeff Hansen as the program is not tipping their hand ahead of the SIU opener at all, but the positive side of the release is that the future talent base for Jay Hill and Aaron Roderick appears to be quite strong with 10 true freshman dotting the depth chart.

Finally, the show wrapped up with a look at where Kalani Sitake stacks up nationally in the eyes of The Athletic as Bruce Feldman and Chris Vannini list him in the fourth of their seven tiers of coaches and Jake Hatch believes it's a fair evaluation of where Sitake stacks up at the moment with his showing in the Big 12 Conference set to reveal more about who he is as a coach.
