It was an eventful day for Arizona State Sun Devils football with the NCAA finally handing down the sanctions for the recruiting violations under Herm Edwards, but more importantly at the wide receiver position where the Sun Devils lost Elijhah Badger to the NCAA Transfer Portal, but also added a four-star recruit for the 2025 recruiting cycle in Adrian Wilson. Badger departs the program within a day of quarterback Jaden Rashada entering his name into the portal and the Sun Devils have a mighty hole to fill with his departure. However, the wide receiver room should be up to the challenge thanks to a core featuring Jordyn Tyson, Troy Omeire, Melquan Stovall, and Jake Smith. The aforementioned Tyson has been advertising himself as a potential superstar during spring practices. But at the end of the day, Kenn Dillingham was able to land a commitment from a top-20 wide receiver in next year's cycle in Adrian Wilson, who credits new wide receivers coach Hines Ward as a big reason for his decision.
