One of the many things that makes learning on YouTube so special is how much users love to do it! Every day, people around the world choose to spend time on the platform learning to improve their lives. And we want to empower learners even further by providing a direct path to formal education.

We’re thrilled to share that we’ve partnered with Arizona State University (ASU) and Crash Course to create Study Hall. It’s a new approach that demystifies the college process while creating an affordable and accessible onramp to earning college credit. A postsecondary education drives economic and social mobility in powerful ways, yet the path to higher education can be riddled with barriers, including high cost and accessibility. We’re hoping to change that with Study Hall.

There are four “College Foundations” courses which offer eligibility for transfer credit. This suite encompasses the most common first-year college courses at many higher-education institutions: English Composition, College Math, US History and Human Communication. Developed and taught by the same faculty who conduct research and teach students on ASU's campuses, the lessons combine ASU's academic excellence with Crash Courses's compelling storytelling — all on YouTube's wide-reaching platform.

The additional Study Hall series, “How to College,” includes videos that help learners navigate the complex college admissions process and stay on track once enrolled. Another video series “Fast Guides” gives information and insights into dozens of the most popular college majors, with helpful tips like required classes for each major and the most likely careers associated with those degrees.

Amber Stevens West has previously she starred in the comedy series “Happy Together” alongside Damon Wayans Jr. and on the supernatural sitcom “Ghosted” opposite Adam Scott and Craig Robinson. Immediately prior to landing the lead female role on “Ghosted,” Amber played Jerrod Carmichael’s on-screen love interest on “The Carmichael Show.”

FilmRise, the New York-based film and television studio and streaming network, and Venture 10 Studio Group have partnered with Mars Wrigley to produce a new reality competition series, Follow Me, that shows fans what it takes to become massively famous in the social media age. Hosted and executive produced by Bethany Mota, and debuting on May 3, the series will exclusively debut this Spring on The FilmRise Streaming Network. In FOLLOW ME, aspiring stars - each with a unique talent, background, and strategy for success - will compete in business-themed challenges across the series. The program will showcase the intense competition as they are tasked with building their follower bases. Max Einhorn of FilmRise comments, "This is truly one of our most mainstream co-productions to date. Think 'Biggest Loser' meets 'Big Brother' meets 'The Circle'. The series' format combines two of the most popular mediums - social media and reality competition. It's a high-stakes rivalry that comes with a ton of drama and will have viewers on the edge of their seats to see who stays and who is eliminated." FOLLOW ME consists of eight 60-minute episodes. The first season features eight contestants, including a model, personal trainer, gamer, dancer, among others, that compete to win the grand prize of $50,000. Throughout the series, contestants will be tasked with creating engaging content inspired by Mars Wrigley's iconic portfolio of brands, like M&M'S®, SKITTLES®, SNICKERS® and ORBIT®. Show participants work in the "creator's studio" and compete in various social media-based challenges. Contestants will also have access to top influencers including Charlotte McKinney, Alan Bersten (DWTS), Courtney Revolution (The Circle), Emily Mei, and Taya Miller, among others, who will serve as mentors. At the end of each episode the contestant with the least number of followers is eliminated. The one contestant with the most followers at the end of the competition will be crowned the winner and receive the $50,000 prize from Mars Wrigley, the official sponsor of FOLLOW ME.
