Episode 115:
Legendary Alternative Rocker’s Candlebox have released a brand new song “Let Me Down Easy” It’s the first glimpse of new material since their 2016 release Disappearing in Airports.

According to lead singer Kevin Martin the new song is a reflection of the everyday world. He says, “We’re all sinners. Ain’t a saint amongst us, and you can only hope that when your time comes it’s not a struggle, that maybe you might be lucky enough to be forgiven.”

The track was written by Peter Cornell (brother of the late Soundgarden and Audioslave singer/songwriter Chris Cornell)

The music will be featured on Candlebox’s recently completed new full-length (and currently untitled) album. “The band’s priority right now is the health and safety of family, friends and fans.

Andy Bernstein is a very busy man over at HeadCount. It’s a non-partisan, non-profit organization that promotes participation in democracy through music, culture, and digital media.
Andy and company have been at this since 2004. They’ve registered over 650,000 voters and worked with a long list of musicians and partners including Ariana Grande, Billy Eilish, Camila Cabello, Dave Matthews Band, JAY-Z, Beyonce and more.
With 40,000 volunteers, street teams in most major U.S. cities, and a physical presence at more than 1,000 events each year, HeadCount ranks as one of the most active grassroots civic participation organizations in the United States.

Polydor/Interscope/UME will release The Rolling Stones' 1973 number-one album Goats Head Soup in multiple configurations. It has been remastered and contains 10 bonus tracks, including three previously unreleased songs, while the Super-Deluxe version delivers a 1973 concert from Brussels, Belgium. This one-hour special, hosted by Dan Neer, contains songs from the album and live classics from the Brussels show interspersed with new interviews with Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Jimmy Page, along with comments from Stones’ guitarist Mick Taylor and original bassist Bill Wyman

In 1989, Dr. Yusef Salaam was just fifteen years old when he was tried and convicted in the “Central Park Jogger Case” along with four other Black and Latino boys. The Central Park Five, as they were known, spent between seven to thirteen years behind bars, until the true killer confessed and their sentences were overturned in 2002. At that point, they renamed themselves “the Exonerated Five

Recently he teamed up with Ibi Zoboi to create the young adult book “Punching the Air . It reflects not only Yusef’s story, but the stories of millions of young boys and girls of color who face the injustice of mass incarceration and the criminal justice system. Books have the power to change the way we think and transform societies.
