  • Putting Focus On The Sideline Stories What Happened To Her From Melissa Jeltsen
In her new weekly series, investigative journalist Melissa covers the biggest trials on her beat as they happen. This fall, she's in federal court for the death of Sandra Birchmore - a case built on Melissa's expertise in police sexual violence and staged crime scenes. She picks up threads from past seasons, chases brand-new mysteries, and - for the first time - turns to a story of her own. She reopens a chapter she'd long buried: the adult neighbor who tried to groom her at thirteen, who years later was convicted of molesting another girl.Episodes available here:https://www.iheart.com/podcast/1119-what-happened-to-her-93564012/

  • America Works From Diamond Rio Marty Roe Breaks The EP Down
GRAMMY Award-winning, multi-Platinum country group Diamond Rio has announced its forthcoming four-song EP, America Works, arriving November 13 via Rio Records 2.0/One Riot Records. The project kicks off today with the release of its title track, "America Works." Listen / download / watch at this link:  https://ffm.to/americaworks This year also marks 35 years since the release of Diamond Rio's newly certified 2X Platinum debut single, "Meet In The Middle," and Platinum-selling debut album, Diamond Rio. More than three decades after making country music history with their first No. 1, the band continues that musical legacy with a new collection of original music. Rio's "Beautiful Mess" and "One More Day" are also newly certified Platinum by RIAA.Written by Diamond Rio's Jimmy Olander and Jeffrey East, "America Works" centers on the idea of Americans showing up for one another through service, sacrifice and simple acts of selflessness.Directed by Diamond Rio drummer Micah Schweinsberg, the video was filmed in part at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, and features military personnel along with the band's own family members, friends and crew. The video follows three people at different stages of life as they face personal challenges, give back to others and serve their country, reflecting the song's message of community, service and looking out for one another."We started at Fort Campbell getting shots of our military on the base," says Schweinsberg. "I've always respected our military, but seeing them train and function reinstated my respect for their willingness to sacrifice in order to keep our freedom in this country."Olander says bringing the production in-house and surrounding the band with people close to them made the video especially meaningful."Other than a few soldiers at Fort Campbell, every cast member in the video is connected to us personally," says Olander. "It made the whole thing feel incredibly meaningful."Following "America Works," Diamond Rio will release "Other Side of The World" on October 16. Written by Olander, Marty Roe and Heather Morgan, the deeply personal song was inspired by Roe watching his eldest daughter move to Australia after high school to attend Hillsong College to study music. The song also marks a first for Diamond Rio, featuring Carson McKee on lead vocals, performing the duet alongside Roe.

  • The Generation That Uncouples Does Or Doesn't Stay Together Daniel Cox Breaks It Down
A sweeping and empathetic portrait of the new gender divide, from a top pollster and cultural commentator, with key insights into what the gap means for the future of romantic relationships, family life, and America's civic project"Regardless of your politics, if you're concerned about the future of America-and who isn't?-this book is a must-read."-Robert D. Putnam, bestselling author of Bowling AloneIn Generation Uncoupled, a leading researcher on American public life investigates the causes and consequences of the rising hostility between young men and women. Drawing on original polling research, over one hundred hours of interviews and focus groups, and conversations with experts, Daniel Cox traces how Gen Z is being driven apart by a culture that fosters fear, resentment and insecurity. What emerges is a portrait of a generation caught between new social technologies, the collapse of civic and social spaces, and a deepening sense of mistrust.Through personal narratives and startling polling trends, Cox explores not only the complexities of modern dating and evolving attitudes about sex, but the deeper cultural forces redefining social life. He reveals how immersive digital experiences, polarized and personalized politics, and curated childhoods have created a preoccupation with individuality, a preference for social avoidance and a diminished sense of obligation. Along the way, we meet the young people behind the statistics: anxious, guarded, and uncertain. But this isn't a story of what's broken or who's to blame. It's a call for a cultural reset; a reimagining of our social and civic priorities. With rigor, compassion, and a refusal to take sides, Generation Uncoupled challenges cultural orthodoxies and media narratives alike. If we want to rebuild trust, we must first recognize that we need each other. This is the definitive book for anyone trying to understand how we've veered so far off course and how we come together to fix it.

  • Success Is One Thing Mattering Is Another The Mattering Effect From John R Miles
Our well-being relies on two simple experiences: feeling valued by others and knowing we have something meaningful to contribute.  But that feeling of mattering has been quietly, steadily, and structurally erased from millions of people’s lives.  How do we get back the feeling that we matter – to ourselves and to others?    Award winning author, and host of the #1 alt health podcast (Passion Struck) with 85+ million downloads, John R. Miles, reframes the struggle and offers a way out in his new book, THE MATTERING EFFECT: Creating a Life of Meaning and Worth (Morehouse Publishing, Oct. 6, 2026).  When we stop feeling valued a gap forms between what you give and what you feel in return.  Miles calls that the Mattering Gap, and at its core, mattering is the felt sense that your life has value – and what you do makes a difference.  To understand what that really means and how individuals can reclaim that sense of worth, Miles spoke with over eighty of the world’s foremost thinkers, including Nobel Laurate Alvin Roth, Angela Duckworth, Arthur Brooks, and more.  Blending cutting-edge research in psychology, neuroscience, and deeply personal stories, THE MATTERING EFFECT can help people once again feel deeply connected to themselves and one another.
