Arroe Collins: Unplugged & Totally Uncut

I’m always asking questions.  The fun begins when you start researching for answers. Such as…   The days are slow but life is moving too fast…how can we slow this Ferris wheel down? Plus…grumpiness isn’t just a guy thing.  The numbers are sharply increasing in the department of women.   I’m Arroe…  I am a daily writer.  A silent wolf.  I stand on the sidelines and do nothing but watch, listen study then activate.  I call it The Daily Mess.  A chronological walk through an everyday world.  Yes, it’s my morning writing.  As a receiver of thoughts and ideas, we as people tend to throw it to the side and deal with it later.  When a subject arrives, I dig in.  It’s still keeping a journal!  By doing the research the picture becomes clearer.  This is the Daily Mess…

Pod Crashing episode 494 with super model Kim Alexis from the podcast Unexpired… Being an international supermodel, as Kim Alexis was in the 70's, 80's, and 90's, inspired a quiet rebellion within her against the cultural expectations that tell people, especially women, who they are supposed to be and when they are supposed to fade. In her new podcast, Unexpired (debuting on Apple, iHeart radio, Spotify, and YouTube on May 6), she explores why some people continue to thrive- physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, long after our culture tells them that they're past their prime. It's an important topic that she explores with people who have lived interesting, full, and often highly visible lives, asking the question: what drives them forward when career or life changes? The podcast challenges one of the most damaging cultural myths: that your best years are behind you. You are not past your prime. Prime is not a number! It's how you steward your body, mind, relationships, and purpose.Upcoming guests include Jay Leno, Esai Morales, Justine Bateman, Super Bowl great Jim McMahon, Mariel Hemingway, Larry the Cable Guy, Carol Alt, Joe Theisman, Patrick Warburton, Joan Severence, NFL superstar Bret Saberhagen, Jay DeMarcus (Rascal Flatts), and many more.People Mag: https://people.com/model-kim-alexis-chops-off-12-inches-of-her-hair-to-donate-to-children-with-hair-loss-exclusive-8413533 Sizzle Reel: https://next.frame.io/share/17d4f595-1cce-4665-969b-b50ba063d2a4/view/323983e6-c350-456d-a0dc-b8611ce7b53a Podcast episodes available here:https://www.iheart.com/podcast/269-unexpired-332781591/

The song was and still is heavily influenced by the actions and reactions of real people who feel alone. Reaching beyond those moments of isolation brings together an invisible community that can serve as truly connecting during times of personal disconnection.

Educator and neuroscientist Dr. Jared Cooney Horvath reveals why digital tools in school consistently undermine learning-and what parents, teachers, and schools can do to push back with purpose. Our children are struggling.Schools, once alive with human connection, are now dominated by screens and digital tools. The result is unmistakable: declining performance, fractured attention, and the slow erosion of rigorous thought. For the first time in recent history, children are falling behind previous generations on many key measures of cognitive development. In The Digital Delusion, neuroscientist and educator Dr. Jared Cooney Horvath reveals how the widespread use of laptops, tablets, and classroom software is undermining how children learn and develop. Drawing on decades of research, he provides practical tools for families to reassess device use at home, equips educators with the means to restore attention-rich learning environments, and helps schools make smarter decisions about technology. He exposes and dismantles the central myths driving the EdTech movement and lays out a clear path for putting people-not programs-back at the center of education. This is not a call to reject technology.JARED COONEY HORVATH BIO

The Jib Machine Retro Single Summer Series kicked off last week with The Hostile Omish and their two bold, and much buzzed-about covers: “Eye of The Tiger” (Survivor) and “Psycho Killer” (Talking Heads). This week all eyes and ears are on J TEMP 13’s “jUnK-26” out today via Jib’s subsidiary, Electrik Stick Records.  Originally released in 2018, this new version of “Junk” was remixed by house producer Handanu. The banger is strong with neon-like tech house beats, an haunting repetitive chorus, and an obsession-worthy tempo.  Stream the track now via J TEMP 13’s Spotify.Summer is short. Life is short. I’m CT…  When I’m not busy being Arroe the podcaster, I live in the real world.  Everybody has to have a job.  Mine is C.S.  Customer Service.  Solutions, relationships.  Keeping my team motivated in an age of constant connections.  Each guest has chosen to stop their day to visit our location.  Episode 236 Nothing like walking down a grocery store lane and wow there's blood on the floor. Lots of blood. Theft has a new face and Dr Pepper has a new summer flavor.

Songs about marijuana, pot and whatever else you want to call it.  Radio took a hit and didn't get a high but the rush from FCC was too big and it made them dizzy.  Plus, wag the dog is huge right now and the art of it all has turned fake stories into classic moments in non American history.
