  • Toil Trouble And Transformation After Disney From Author And Historian Neil OBrien
Walt Disney left behind big dreams when he died in 1966. Perhaps none was greater than the hope that his son-in-law, Ron Miller, would someday run his studio. Under Miller's leadership, Disney expanded into new frontiers: global theme parks, computer animation, cable television, home video, and video games. Despite these innovations, Ron struggled to expand the Disney brand beyond its midcentury image of wholesome family entertainment, even as times and tastes evolved. Tensions between Miller and Walt's nephew, Roy E. Disney, threatened to destroy the company, leading Wall Street "Gordon Gekko" types to come after Mickey Mouse. At the same time, the aging Animation Department- once the core of Walt's business-was one memo away from shutting down forever. Rather, thanks to the radical efforts of Walt's veterans to recruit and nurture young talent, it was revived by this sudden influx of artists who would go on to revolutionize the film industry. Additionally, this new generation would prove over time that animation was so much more than just kids' stuff- it was a multibillion-dollar industry. After Disney is the upstairs-downstairs story of the executives and animators who clashed and collaborated to keep America's most storied company alive during the most uncertain period in its one hundred year history.

  • The Daily Mess Does Mike Rowe Do The Dirty Jobs Plus KISS Even After Retiring Is Everywhere
I’m always asking questions.  The fun begins when you start researching for answers. Such as…   Mike Rowe is known for his dirty jobs.  Does he really do the work?  Plus How is it the group KISS continues to be dominant long after their retirement?                                         I’m Arroe…  I am a daily writer.  A silent wolf.  I stand on the sidelines and do nothing but watch, listen study then activate.  I call it The Daily Mess.  A chronological walk through an everyday world.  Yes, it’s my morning writing.  As a receiver of thoughts and ideas, we as people tend to throw it to the side and deal with it later.  When a subject arrives, I dig in.  It’s still keeping a journal!  By doing the research the picture becomes clearer.  This is the Daily Mess…

  • Thirty Flirty And Crying The Star Behind The Pregnancy Brain Tour Shannon Fiedler
After announcing her pregnancy via her iconic social media personalities, the "city girls", comedian Shannon Fiedler is heading back out on the road for her Pregnancy Brain tour, kicking off January 25 in Minneapolis, and hitting Denver, Portland, Seattle, Beverly, San Francisco, San Diego, before wrapping things up in NYC in April. Fans can expect a night of laughs delivered with the social media star's trademark wit, enthusiasm, and spot-on understanding of what makes millennials laugh out loud. Fiedler recently debuted her first stand-up special, Thirty, Flirty, & Crying, September 25, via YouTube. The dynamic hour of humor was produced by Hoff Studios, along with a female run production directed by Laura Lucchetti and Executive Produced by Jayme Yarow. Thirty, Flirty & Crying is a smart and sometimes silly exploration of what it means to be a woman who's recently turned that number after 29. With riffs on such universal topics as the horrors of dating, the pressures of ordering the right wine, and the inherent dangers of using public restrooms, Shannon strikes multiple chords with both male and female fans alike. The overarching theme of, "I'm too young to be this old," informs the hour, as Shannon shares glimpses of the path that has led her to being the very funny, and utterly likable woman she is still in the process of becoming. Shannon Fiedler is a New York based comedian, writer and content creator who has amassed over 500k followers on social media. Known for her relatable - albeit exaggerated - characters, Shannon distills ordinary situations to their most entertaining essence. In addition to touring the country performing, Shannon was named a Comic To Watch in the 2023 NY Comedy Festival, and her work has been featured on various media platforms, including BuzzFeed, Barstool Sports, Overheard New York, Betches, and Gratzia. Here's a link to her special Thirty, Flirty & Crying: Https://shannonfiedler.com/thirty-flirty-crying

  • Start Asking Yourself Questions That's The Message Inside Untangling From Joan K Peters
The Healing Power of Psychoanalysis, Revealed by a Patient for the First Time I’m contacting you with a guest/segment idea on psychoanalysis by someone who undertook the journey, healed lifelong emotional and psychological wounds, and wrote a memoir that's the first in-depth personal account told from the patient’s point of view. The Big Idea: Psychoanalysis is full of mysteries — it taps into the subconscious more than any other form of therapy and sets up a unique relationship between analyst and patient. No one really knows exactly how or why it works, just that it does. But one patient, in candidly revealing her own journey, invites readers into that very private patient experience as she grapples with hidden and haunting demons. Why it Matters: Whether due to taboo, fear, shame, or reluctance, very few patients have shared their journey of psychoanalysis with others, let alone written about the experience. Too many people are unaware of the transformative powers that this penetrating, multi-layered therapy has. Key Messages:  In her unique memoir, written in the narrative style of Mary Karr, the author recounts her two analyses — one when she is in her twenties and another in her sixties — that form one continuous story of immense discovery and healing. She dramatizes firsthand accounts of how she and her two very different analysts unlocked the traumas, losses and terrors of her past, enabling her to confront and understand them, and finally feel free to fully enjoy her life.
