  • Reimagining America's Dream Making It Attainable For All From Bernie Mullin
Bernie Mullin immigrated to the US and says he was fortunate enough to experience much of what this country has to offer after rising to the top of several professional sports franchises.  However, Mullins sees the current potential of most Americans to share in these experiences slipping away.  How can we bring back all that the American Dream means and increase access to it for all?

The new book, REIMAGINING AMERICA’S DREAM, is Mullin’s roadmap to solving the toxicity, political division, and income equality that are holding many Americans back.  Mullin views educational access and creating generational wealth as the key to empowering today’s youth.   His method for addressing these issues is with simple, cost-effective solutions – starting with giving every child a true head start.  The book follows Bernie’s journey from immigrant to CEO, shares stories from his life, and draws lessons from the experiences that made his American Dream possible.

  • Call It What It Is Music Historian Scott G Shea Puts His Focus On The Story Of Fleetwood Mac
The date August 12th marks two significant and big events in the life of the band Fleetwood Mac. On that date in 1967, the original band, consisting of founder Peter Green, drummer Mick Fleetwood, bassist John McVie and guitarist Jeremy Spencer, made their stage debut at the National Blues & Jazz Festival in London. This heavy blues version of the band was a far cry from the group most fans are familiar with today. Exactly 30 years later, the classic lineup of Fleetwood, McVie, Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie reunited on stage for the first time in 15 years on MTV’s full concert program, “The Dance.” Fleetwood Mac is a tale of many bands filled with numerous personalities who’ve all left an indelible mark on their sound.

  • We'll Have Just 72 Minutes Journalist Anne Jacobsen Releases The Book Nuclear War
What to Expect if Nuclear War Breaks Out? WORLDWIDE NUKES: There are 9 nuclear-armed nations (US, Russia, China, France, the UK, Pakistan, India, Israel, and North Korea)…and if you’re living in an American city today, big or small, there’s a nuclear weapon pointed directly at you right now.   Conversely, the US has 1,770 nukes pointing at cities across the world.NO CHECKS AND BALANCES: The U.S. president has sole authority to launch nuclear weapons - no Congress or military advisor approval needed! If a military satellite indicates America is under nuclear attack, and a 2nd early-warning radar confirms that information, then the president of the United States launches nuclear missiles in response—before any nuclear bomb strikes U.S. soil. Said differently, the U.S. doesn’t wait to absorb the nuclear blow.NO RECALL:  Once a missle is launched, it cannot be aborted.  Ever. The clock is ticking.SNEAK ATTACK - Called “Bolt out of the Blue” - it’s a deadly first strike.  The US fears this could happen in an attack on the Pentagon.6 MINUTES: In a six-minute window, the president must decide how many nuclear weapons to use and which targets to strike—while also being briefed on estimates of how many millions of people, would be instantly incinerated, with an almost equal number dying days, weeks, and months later from radiation poisoning. Nuclear war is the only scenario—other than an asteroid strike—that could end civilization in a matter of hours. The soot from burning cities and forests would blot out the sun and cause a nuclear winter. State-of-the-art climate modeling predicts five billion humans would die. In the words of Nikita Khrushchev, “The survivors will envy the dead.”In NUCLEAR WAR, Anne Jacobsen examines the ticking-clock scenario of what would unfold in the seconds, minutes, and hours following the launch of a nuclear attack against the United States, and in so doing, exposes what the government and military do not want to the public to understand about the current state of nuclear weapons.

  • You Think You Know Like A Rolling Stone From Dylan Experience it With Author Scott G Shea

    You have an upcoming event
    Scott G. Shea
    Tuesday Jul 30, 2024 ⋅ 10:15am – 10:25am (Eastern Time - New York)
Hey there, I hope that you're doing well! In honor of the rise of Bob Dylan’s breakthrough single, “Like a Rolling Stone” hitting the pop charts on July 24, 1965, I wanted to get ahead of next week's news cycle to see if you might be interested in hosting Scott G. Shea, leading music historian and author of the best-selling book, “All the Leaves Are Brown: How the Mamas Came Together and Broke Apart,” on your show to discuss how the song and the artist impacted western music and culture. Before the world heard that song, Dylan was far from mainstream and relevant in mostly small metropolitan and university music circles. "Like a Rolling Stone" changed all that. Along with the Byrds and the Lovin’ Spoonful, he ushered in the era we now know as folk-rock. Scott is available to discuss the significance of the song’s impact and uniqueness. Along with the Byrds and the Lovin’ Spoonful, Bob Dylan helped usher in the genre we now know as folk-rock, which Scott describes as the first successful and significant U.S. response to the British Invasion led by the Beatles and the Rolling Stones. Scott can address the unlikeliness of the song’s popularity. Dylan’s vocals were raw and unorthodox in comparison to most hit singers in the history of pop music and the single clocked in at an astounding 6:07, shattering the previous record held by the Righteous Brothers’ “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feeling,” which clocked in at 3:45. The needs of radio station programmers were now irrelevant to musical artists.
