  • Whey Jennings Ignites A New Season Of Great Country Music With Baptized By Fire
Nashville recording artist and country singer-songwriter Whey Jennings reveals his sophomore album, Baptized By Firearriving everywhere digitally on March 27, 2026 by Dirt Rock Empire.Baptized By Fire finds the Jennings family disciple writing and singing more songs about his own life's journey as a traveling troubadour, father, and man of God who was saved in 2020 during the pandemic from a life of drug and alcohol addiction.Reflecting his artistic ambitions, Jennings co-wrote several of the songs from first time songwriting sessions with Jim "Moose" Brown (Willie Nelson, Jamey Johnson, Jimmy Buffett), Tyler Booth (Josh Turner), and Whey's second duet with The Voice's breakout country recording artist Karen Waldrup. Balanced out with heartfelt ballads, honky-tonk rockers Baptized By Fire is a well-rounded album of songs rooted in traditional country, blues, with some notable Americana vibes in style and instrumentation.Jennings and his co-writers' expertly crafted lyrics are combined with top-tier production from Producer Gary Carter (Kenny Chesney, Marty Stuart, Alan Jackson) and his team, recording the tracks at Danny Parks Long Hollow Studio and his own GC studio. Guitar work comes from Grand Ole Opry band member Danny Parks, piano and organs by Mike Rojas (Ricky Skaggs, Hank Williams Jr.), a multi-winner of ACM's Keyboard Player of the Year award, acoustic guitar by Joel Key (Cody Johnson, Thomas Rhett, and Toby Keith), steel guitar by Gary Carter, fiddle by Deanie Richardson (Del McCoury Band, Hank Williams Jr., Marty Stuart) and percussion by Garth Justice (Ricky Skaggs, Reba McEntire, Jo Dee Messina)."This album is close to my heart and I've never felt more at home with my music as I do now," Jennings said. "If you want to know who I really am as a person, the songs on this album present an open window to both my heart and soul as a songwriter."

  • The Daily Mess How Do You Identify Click Bait Plus Can You Move Around Click Bait Safely
I’m always asking questions.  The fun begins when you start researching for answers. Such as…   What’s the best way to identify a news story that’s clickbait?  Plus…what’s in a headline that’s screaming out you as being unreal?    I’m Arroe…  I am a daily writer.  A silent wolf.  I stand on the sidelines and do nothing but watch, listen study then activate.  I call it The Daily Mess.  A chronological walk through an everyday world.  Yes, it’s my morning writing.  As a receiver of thoughts and ideas, we as people tend to throw it to the side and deal with it later.  When a subject arrives, I dig in.  It’s still keeping a journal!  By doing the research the picture becomes clearer.  This is the Daily Mess…

  • Jamie Lynch From OG8 New Single, Album And Tour Time To Recognize
“Recognize” is Original 8 (OG8) lead singer Jaime Lynch’s personal mantra. And while she ends the new single, “W.O.M.A.N” with the phrase “I am woman, recognize…”, the meaning behind it goes way back to how Lynch and her bandmates have approached both the music business and life.Based in Portland, Ore., the driving force behind OG8 is founder and guitarist Troy Williver. Bent on being a band that doesn’t rely on a record label for both success and acknowledgment, in early 2023 Williver established Beat Farm Music. From there, the OG8 band took hold. Williver’s search for a vocalist that matched the values and could both command the stage and captivate the audience in a way that accentuates OG8’s eclectic rock-Americana-blues sound led him to Lynch.“W.O.M.A.N” is a profound, unapologetic anthem redefining the rock and roll landscape“I wanted to capture confidence, freedom and owning who you are without apology or explanation,” Lynch, a multiple winner of “Best of Las Vegas” for her powerful vocals and stage presence for Pussycat Dolls, Peep Show, Vegas The Show and more, said. “So many times as women in this society, and especially in this industry, we are expected to behave a certain way, look a certain way – be a certain way. This song is really about taking that power back and owning it for yourself.”Sure, the streams and the album sales are nice, but for OG8 the recognition that they have a bond and a central mission, they can look in the mirror and see that they are doing meaningful work. They are unapologetically true to themselves. Their origin story is rooted in decades of musical collaboration, friendship and a shared ideological belief system of love of music over pursuit of ego. Drummer Michael Thomas Underwood III, Renato Caranto on saxophone, George Mitchell on keyboard, bassist Phil Baker and sound engineer Drew Canulette round out the band.A recuring theme in all of their experiences - OG8 has endured the pressures and feeling of being overlooked.“Stay in this place – don’t go higher,” Lynch said. “People see you one way and use you for what they need. I want credit where it’s due.”

  • Con Men, Call Centers And Rogue Doctors Elizabeth Chamblee Burch's The Pain Brokers
Legal scholar Elizabeth Chamblee Burch focuses on three women with mesh implants who were targeted, manipulated, and violated—at their own expense. Through the searing stories of Sharon Gore, Barbara Shepard, and Jerri Plummer—middle-aged women separated by geography, education, and socioeconomic factors—Burch sheds light on not only the injustices of mass torts, which she describes as “personal-injury litigation on steroids,” but also the indignities endemic in women’s healthcare.  Drawing on more than 150 interviews conducted over two years, backed by 209,000 pages of documentation, THE PAIN BROKERS is at once a critical work of public service journalism and a real-life thriller. As Burch unfolds each level of the scheme, readers meet: Vincent Chhabra, a Versace-clad entrepreneur and architect of Alpha Law, LLC—which, despite its name and partnerships with some actual lawyers, was a call center. Headquartered at 1000 Corporate Drive in south Florida, Alpha Law employed nearly two hundred operators in headsets who capitalized on patients’ private medical records, obtained through a data breach in India, to make unsolicited calls to vulnerable women with mesh implants, including Sharon, Barbara, and Jerri.      Blake Barber, a hulking ex-paralegal with a flamingo pink goatee who turned women’s medical fears into cash for third-party funders by orchestrating a ruthless “concierge service” that flew terrified patients to Florida chop shops to have their mesh removed. Dr. Christopher Walker, a Jamaican-born urogynecologist known by his Instagram handle @Dr.Downtown who, after losing his savings in a Ponzi scheme, went from inserting mesh to extracting it at breakneck speed for seven times his normal fee—a feat made possible by refusing to accept women’s insurance and forcing them to sign liens against their future settlement proceeds.  J.R. Baxter, a newly minted small-town Arkansas lawyer and passionate crusader for justice who, against daunting odds, represented Sharon, Barbara, and Jerri, as well as 180 other women. And finally, J.R. 's unlikely ally, Barbara Binis, a seasoned Philadelphia defense attorney hired to do financial damage control for a mesh manufacturer who devoted nearly four years to uncovering the mass-tort scheme.           Centered on three women who went through the mesh mill, THE PAIN BROKERS exposes the profit-hungry scammers and unscrupulous doctors whom they trusted.
