- Art should be 50 to 75 percent of the length of the furniture piece it's above for proper proportion and visual balance. - Mirrors can be a versatile and affordable alternative to traditional artwork and should reflect something interesting in the room. - Temporary artwork, like blown-up personal photos or Etsy commissions, can be a great placeholder until you find a more permanent, meaningful piece.
