Hi, welcome to “As an Artist.” A Local Famous Records podcast about local artists, their art, the creative process and the local scene. My name is Anthony Sosa and on this episode we have Ray Liberio. Ray has been a staple in the FW Music and Art scene for decades. He has been a part of such acts as The Me-Thinks, Vorvon, FTW– with whom he is still actively playing– as well as Epic Ruins, Stoogeaphillia, Hassle Horse, and John Doe and . He also does visual and graphic art with his production company Pussyhouse Productions, who has done iconic art around town like the Lola’s girl mural on the patio of the old Lola’s. He also did the album cover and a couple T- shirt designs for my old band Huffer. We cover a lot in this episode but not nearly enough. I hope to have Ray back soon to talk more about what we missed.

Hi, my name is Anthony Sosa and this is “As an Artist.” A Local Famous Records podcast about local artists, their art, the creative process and the local scene. On this episode we have Matt Bardwell. To me, Matt is an artist’s artist. He is a painter, musician, multi-media artist, multi-instrumentalist and founding member of our Local Famous collective. He has been involved in many projects over the years including I am Warbird, Problem Dog, Temporal Distortions, Double Bear, and recently has been working on an EP for his new project Gleek as well as painting commissioned murals and pieces all over the US. In this episode we get pretty heady and philosophical in regards to the creation, meaning and purpose of art in relation to ourselves and in society.

Glenn and I have known each other since 2004 via The Raven Charter and we even briefly played together in a band, Housefire, in 2009. We also get into death metal, teaching lessons, star wars, video games, band chemistry and the Dallas scene in the late 90’s.
