As an Artist

Hi, my name is Anthony Sosa and this is “As an Artist.” A Local Famous Records podcast about local artists, their art, the creative process and the local scene. On this episode we have Dustin Schneider. Dustin is one half of the award winning podcast The Jerry Jonestown Massacre and a long-time DFW musician and photographer, currently playing in The Spectacle and Uncle Toasty. We had a great time discussing podcasting, music, photography and technology as well as the DFW scene in the 90’s and 2000’s compared to now.

Additionally, we talk about local politics and that conversation can be found on the Fort Worth Freedom Review.

Dustin was a fantastic guest and I hope you enjoy this conversation.

At the end of the podcast is “Tap the Breaks” written and performed by The Spectacle.

The Jerry Jonestown Massacre can be found live every Tuesday on youtube at 8pm (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXjvlbDnP0l8n3gdkSpWyPA) and where podcasts are found.

Here is a recent episode of JJTM with Sosa about Robert Malone’s JRE Episode:

This is “As an Artist.” A Local Famous Records podcast about local artists, their art, the creative process and the local scene. On this episode we have Dale Brunson, a well known face around the DFW Music scene Dale has been running live sound around town for over a decade, playing guitar in Sweetmeat- a top 40 cover band he and I co founded since 2012, and recently has opened his own studio, Sounds by Dale, out of his home here in Fort Worth.

We have a great conversation about Werewolf Therewolf and The Raven Charter in the late aughts, what it's like and how to be creative as a live sound and studio engineer as well as writing and performing music and why we co founded Local Famous Records.

At the end of the podcast is “Merry Isthmus,” an unreleased song written and performed by Dale with performances by myself on bass and Chill (Christopher Hill) on drums.
