  • S2E43: Can you be too sentimental? (breakup songs & last family trip)

Sometimes there are things that remind us of good old times and sometimes there are things that remind us of some crucial moments in our lives. Which is what got us thinking, what is sentimental to us? But also can someone be too sentimental or not sentimental enough? What does this mean for someone by the level of sentiment they feel for something.

Does nostalgic & sentimental mean the same thing?

In this episode we deep dive into our thoughts on these web of questions. Tune is as we also discuss some of our own sentimental moments that has either taught us something or we’ll forever hold it close to our hearts.

Let us know, if you think someone can be too sentimental or not sentimental enough or even what makes you feel sentimental?

      • S2E42: Do I stay or take the redundancy package? (w/ Thomas Tsang)

We don’t know about you, but this year has been tough. Especially when it comes to the job market, the economy and even lay offs (redundancy). Thomas Tsang is one of many who have been made redundant since early this year and has been trying to get back into the market since.

I’m sure we all already understand the dreads of trying to apply for jobs, going for interviews and fixing up your resume all to be rejected over and over again. So we’ll spare you most of that talk.

This episode really digs deep into how Thomas works through his emotional journey and his mindset throughout his job hunting process.

A highly requested topic from our listeners, having better relationships when transitioning into new parenthood 👶 (and as we all know, we’re no expert on this). So of course we had to dial in `=Morrow Endeavour who works with many clients on this exact topic!

                    • S2E40: 3 things we wanted to improve (1 year review)

Self reflection time! Last year we talked about 3 things we wanted to work on and we wanted to check in with ourselves to see how we are going.

We revisited some of our weaknesses such as:

                      • connecting and networking more with others
                      • learning to be more empathetic
                      • speaking up and truly being honest with ourselves and to others
                      • being more proactive rather than reactive
                      • From reflecting back from how we’re doing with old goals to also discovering if we want to continue with our current ones or make new ones. This is the whole beauty and great reasons why self reflection is so important.

Let us know what goals or a weakness that you have been focussing on?

                        • S2E39: What does it mean to be romantic (our thoughts, love languages & bromance?)

We’ve all heard of the love language test and how it helps a couple understand how each of them receive and deliver their love for each other. But does showing love, being thoughtful and being romantic mean the same thing or are they all aspects of showing love for one another?

In this episode we ask each other exactly this question and also what romance means to us. Along with other questions:

                          • Is being romantic important to us?
                          • Qualities of a romantic person
                          • Has our definition of romantic changed over the years?
                          • Stay tuned till the end for a big question drop that has got us debating.

To understand if we have good or habits, we first have to understand WHY we have habits. Some may say all habits that occur in our lives happen for a reason one way or another. Which lead us to also think, are all stereotypical labels on bad habits REALLY that bad? For example, watching tv, procrastinating which are habits we also possess.

Join us as we go through some research and studies and also share our thoughts and opinions on why habits form. How the good and bad habits differ and we’ll also go through our good and bad habits and how to create better habits!

We’re big believers in finding the good in every situation. Whether it was a good moment or a bad situation, there is always something you can learn from it. That is one of the best ways to help ourselves grow and be a better person overall.

Which is why this week we are digging back, WAY back into our own memory banks and trying to remember what we considered our WORST memories to date and what we learnt from these situations.

Not only did this episode help us uncover some memories we haven’t thought of in a while to revisit our thoughts about it then versus now. But we’ve also learnt a lot more about each other on a deeper level and why we are now the way we are.

All of these lessons we’ve discussed really emphasises on why we always need to be compassionate. Something that may seem like a small issue to you could mean something completely different to someone else.

Let us know what is one of your worst memories and the biggest takeaway you’ve learnt from those moments.

Not only has his journey allowed him to work for many amazing companies and design amazing work around the world, but ultimately it’s brought him to where he is today.

Joins us as he shares his thoughts, opinions and lessons he’s acquired throughout his many career transitions.
