While our first instinct following a loss is to be pessimistic, there are still things we need to celebrate that the team did right. In the case of Arizona State Sun Devils football following a 34-17 loss to the #11 ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys in Stillwater, Oklahoma, we would be quick to point out the decisions that led to the loss, such as the poor pass protection, the inability to record sacks, and even more so the frustration that was the week's game script. However, we need to recognize some of the things the Sun Devils did well during this game, such as running the football (again), having some secondary targets in the passing attack step up when no one else could, and quite frankly giving this defense the respect it deserves for a performance far better than the box score indicates.
