Domestic violence is not physical violence alone. Domestic violence is any behavior of which the purpose is to gain power and control over a spouse, partner, girl/boyfriend or intimate family member. Abuse is a learned behavior; it is not caused by anger, mental problems, drugs or alcohol, or other common excuses. On this episode of Authentic Living with Roxanne, we welcome Author, Kendra Weenie who will share some of her story and talk about her journey of self-care and healing.
Kendra is a Cree woman from Sweetgrass First Nation, Saskatchewan. She is an author and inspirational speaker and facilitates self-care workshops for women and youth.
