We’re finally looking inward this week and dissecting our own red flags, AKA welcome to us being colorblind. Our first, glaring red flag: THIS PODCAST. We learn that Elaina fits into too many categories, Emily self-proclaims her red flags, and Charlotte is WEAK. Although, it’s not all bad. We then discuss our green flags, including our well endowed rears and the duality of our personalities. Somehow Elaina being a dancer is a red flag, while her being a good dancer is a green flag. Meanwhile, Emily is very proud of her moderate daddy issues and Charlotte is very proud of her big bank account. So, what have we learned this week? We all just want to date ourselves. All this and more on Babes and Bad Decisions!
We went back in the archives to test Brooke’s BABD knowledge. Is she as true a fan as we think she is? Find out and play along in this special bonus content from Episode 63!
This week, Emily pulls off the ultimate prank! Meet our dearest friend/daughter/manager/number 1 fan/ray of sunshine, Brooke! Sound warning: Elaina’s scream is intense. We reminisce on our first memories of Brooke and how our friendships came to be. By the way, Brooke is not at all bitter about how long it took for her and Elaina to become friends…Then we discuss something Brooke is passionate about — the portrayal of women in media. Brooke educates us on the historical misrepresentation of women and we realize the foundation of theater is based on the male perception of life. We reflect on recent women-lead projects and how we can be conscious consumers. Finally, we play a game where we learn some fun (and weird) facts about Brooke! All this and more on Babes and Bad Decisions!
This week we finally meet the elusive man known as Elaina’s boyfriend…aka “BLEEEEEP.” Before we begin, let’s get one thing straight: it’s JON, not JOHN! We start off right with Emily’s near-death experience and what could’ve been some lame last words. Then, we get a real man’s input on why men do the things they do (and why they don’t do the things they don’t do…or something like that.) Jon wanted to talk about Pokémon for 45 minutes but luckily we talked him down. Instead, we play the newlyweds game! We learn some interesting things about ourselves and each other and hear more of Jon’s hot takes. All this and more on Babes (plus the boyfriend) and Bad Decisions!
Welcome back to another installment of Astrology Lessons with Em! Fun fact: knowing your astrology can get you free stuff from Starbucks, so listen up. This week we’re diving into Mars signs. Mars isn’t just about anger, it has to do with all of our primal instincts. We finally find Elaina’s Leo placement (shocking) and she completes her transformation into Beyoncé. Emily finds the perfect word to describe Elaina along with her true calling. Then we dive into Emily and Charlotte’s Mars sign and an upcoming orgy involving some unlikely people. Turns out Emily and Charlotte are inclined towards sarcasm, gossip, and passive aggressiveness. Was anyone surprised? And stay tuned for the astrological explanations for Elaina’s praise kink, Charlotte’s failed relationships, and Emily’s enemies-to-lovers arc. All this and more on Babes and Bad Decisions!
Do you hit snooze a million times in the morning? Do you wake up and stare into the bathroom mirror questioning your life? Do you do your mascara in your apartment elevator? If you said yes to any of these questions, THIS IS AN INTERVENTION! This week Charlotte takes over and teaches us the secrets to a better morning routine. There are two types of morning routines: 1. early and unrealistic, or 2. aesthetic but no talking. How you wake up can set the tone for your whole day, and a better routine can actually make you more productive. We know it’s hard now, especially if you wake up as an angry little gremlin like Emily, but inch by inch, foot by foot, day by day, you can get there! So basically this means we’re are now a motivational podcast. Namaste and good morning! All this and more on Babes and Bad Decisions!
Welcome back to Babes and Bad Decisions where Charlotte is pressed and women’s sizing is bullsh*t. This week we’ve been inspired by the lovely Tinx on Tik Tok and her theory on “Fatal Friendship Flaws.” Everyone has flaws (some more than others), and when looking at a friendship there comes a time where you have to decide if you accept the flaw and keep the friendship or you let that person go. Fatal flaws leave you feeling emotionally drained, and if that person is not actively working on improving themselves, then it may be time to end the friendship. Would you want to know your fatal flaw? Well we sure do! Elaina drops a truth bomb and we air our friendship dirty laundry (seriously, we really hash out the trauma this week). The Babes get into when it’s time to have that talk with your friend and how to have a healthy version of that conversation. And remember to only share your concerns if you have their best interests in mind. Take a sip of water every time we say “flaw” (stay hydrated, Babes), and maybe keep a glass of wine nearby too. All this and more on Babes and Bad Decisions!
Charlotte is back, vaxxed, and needs to get a wax! And if you’re one of her coworkers, welcome! Emily sets the scene this week on a topic she’s waited two years to talk about - post-graduate life. The Babes discuss the differences between moving back to your hometown and moving HOME, along with all the craziness that comes with being back where you’re from. Charlotte might be going brunette, and if you own an empty house in New York let her know! We wish someone would’ve given us this advice before we graduated, so we’re passing it on to you. The stigma of moving home after college can leave people with feelings of guilt, but post-grad looks different for everyone. Focus on the life you want first, then choose a career that will allow you to live that life. When you’re post-grad, structure is super important. Whether you’re getting into plants like Charlotte, witchy things like Emily, or are an “it girl” like Emily’s roommate, self care is necessary! And remember, GO TO THERAPY! Finally, Charlotte leaves us with some words of wisdom: “If you’re depressed, no you’re not. ❤️” All this and more on Babes and Bad Decisions!
