We're not entirely sure how, but Jacob tricked Kent and Joel into doing another episode where he asks them a bunch of bizarre hypothetical questions to test their psyches while further proving he's a psycho. During this round of psychological experiments/torture, Kent and Joel must answer such questions as who they would save in a viral apocalypse, which celebrity they would switch bodies with and, yes, "what's in the shopping cart" makes another appearance.
Press play! Or don't. Because if people don't listen to this episode, we won't have to be subjected to these kind of personality tests anymore.
Have you ever gotten Deep Impact confused with Armageddon? Or mixed up A Bug's Life with Antz? If so, you're not alone! In this episode, we're pitting twin movies against each other in a series of versus battles, where we debate and decide which clone film is the stronger one. It's not always easy -- except for Jacob, who always sides with Kent -- but it's fun to watch Kent struggle as he has to defend things like Pixar and Despicable Me.
And if you think we've done an episode like this before, you're wrong. It wasn't us. It was another podcast back in 1998.
Hey, are you busy right now? Because…we were wondering…if…uh…you wanted to listen to our podcast sometime?
Now that Kent is single and entering the dating world once again, it's time for Baconsale to talk about proper date etiquette. We've gathered courting do's and don'ts from both guys and girls as well as horror stories from you, the listener. Along the way, we discuss topics such as the Joel's theme dates, Kent's creeping pinky and Jacob's mom.
We'll see you on the doorstep at the end!
Ooga chaka! Ooga-ooga! Ooga chaka! Ooga-ooga! Ooga chaka! Ooga-ooga! Ooga chaka! Ooga-ooga! We can't stop reviewing - each Marvel movie. Kent, he won't stop bashing - on anything non-DC. When Joel tries to - share his thoughts on Groot - Kent interrupts him - says his views are moot. Ohhhhh! We're talking 'bout Guardians! Vol. 2 of the Guardians. The first bit's spoiler freeeee!
In a world where every movie seems to be a remake, a reboot or a sequel, three men will do their best to guide you through the cinematic minefield. Baconsale has created their lists of which films they're most excited for during the summer of 2017, as well as the movies they want to bomb. Joel admits some mistakes he's made in the past, Jacob references "growly pants," and Kent banishes both of them from movie screenings.
Hurry and press play! The summer movie season is almost upon us!
Are you happy with how your favorite television show ended? Today Kent, Jacob and Joel are talking about the TV series finales they love, the endings they hate, and the final moments that left them scratching them heads. And while they're going to be spoiling some plot points of these shows, they'll try to let you know ahead of time if they're going to give mild spoilers, medium spoilers or spicy spoilers.
Press play and be sure to stay tuned for the shocking conclusion of this episode of Baconsale!
In the not too distant future, after you press play, you'll hear Baconsale discussing Mystery Science Theater 3000. Huzzah! If you've never seen MST3K, don't worry, we're here to introduce you to the world of Joel (Robinson), Mike, the 'Bots and the cheesy movies they watch. Joel (Hilton) is a big fan of the series, and Kent and Jacob are here to make sure Joel doesn’t get to carried away with his favorite television series.
If you're wondering why we're discussing MST3K instead of current movie facts, just repeat to yourself, "I trust this show, I should really just relax."
And as requested, here is Joel's MST3K starter kit list:
Our special guest Mark is back and he's revving to talk about The Fate of the Furious, the eighth (YES! 8th!) film in the Fast and the Furious franchise. Joel and Jacob do their best to contain Mark's excitement (because they haven't seen the film), whereas Kent just enables him.
Join us as we forget all the characters' names and do our best to make sense of this stupidly entertaining movie.
And here we have Baconsale in its natural habitat: talking about movies. Not just any movies, though. They seem to be discussing documentaries. Kent, the critic of this species, has joined with Joel, the dominant comedian, to create a list of 10 non-fiction films that will help people understand that the word "documentary" does not necessarily mean that the movie will be boring or dry. In fact, they seem to have piqued the interest of a nearby creature named Jacob - a reluctant observer.
Believe it or not, Baconsale has officially made 100 episodes! We're celebrating this milestone by inviting three people onto the show (Jeff, Sam & Teri) who claim to listen to our podcast. And Jacob has created a semi-comprehensible pop culture quiz to pit these contestants against each other and, eventually, against Joel and Kent, a.k.a. "Team JK." Excitement! Confusion! Drama! Awkward silences! Trash talk! All that and more are on this, the 100th episode of Baconsale!
