A BBC Trust review into the corporation's news and current affairs output says t it needs to do more to make an impact. The report found that audiences looking for quality investigative journalism rated Channel 4 higher than the BBC. It also said that on and off screen diversity needs to be addressed. Lachlan Murdoch, son of Rupert, has been appointed non-executive co-chairman of both entertainment company 21st Century Fox and global newspaper company News Corp, alongside his father.
