I’ve had to figure out how to be a man on my own. My mother (God bless her but she could never teach me how to be a man) was a huge part of my growth. The hard part is that my Mom is a woman. She’s not a man. She has an idea of how to raise me to be a repsectful man in the eyse of what a woman would percieve as so but I needed to know how to be a man from a man.
I applaud ANY FATHER who’s doing the dirty work and is being a father without proclaiming that they’re “taking care of mines.” They don’t need recognition, they simply get to it. I respect the these men. They’re a rare breed.
I speak of my Grandpa Walter in this episode and how he had a chance to step into the role that my father left open but decided to go his own way and do nothing. I have zero respect for men that are not taking care of their kids. This podcast is to celebrate the real fathers and to validate all dads that are part of their kids lives. You ar the real MVPs.
