When I set my goals earlier this year I wasn't expecting to buy another investment property.
That said I'd been thinking for a while that I was one property short on my long-term plan for the future.
We picked up this little cracker in an undervalued suburb between Mooloolaba and Noosa on the Sunshine Coast. Our plan is to clean it up (paint, vinyl flooring, new deck and pool), rent it out and then sit on it for the next 15 to 30 years.
Longer-term we hope to knock it down and build a beautiful brand new duplex, which we can sell to help fund our retirement.
I know that many investors are scared at the moment, but this type of environment is filled with incredible opportunities like this one for investors who have been waiting for a bargain since the start of covid and who are in a solid financial position.
