Bryan Passman is the co-founder of the cannabis industry executive search firm and consultancy Hunter + Esquire, as well as the staffing agency The GIGG® which also exclusively serves the cannabis industry. Bryan has spent his entire career succeeding in retained executive search - with a foundation of classical training by the MRINetwork and Dale Carnegie. Before co-founding Hunter + Esquire and The GIGG®, Bryan spent nearly 20 years as an SVP Recruitment and Client Leader at two different well-known search agencies where he and his teams were responsible for successfully managing talent searches globally. Bryan is internationally renowned in executive search and advisory in the Cannabis, MedTech/ Pharma/Biotech, and Food & Beverage (FMCG) Consumer Packaged Goods industries. Clients have included small and large U.S. and International Cannabis companies, hundreds of startup and blue chip companies in the Healthcare life sciences and (food and adult beverage) Consumer Packaged Goods industries in every imaginable corner of the world, as well Tech and Packaging companies serving the CPG and Hospitality industries.
Pat McCutcheon, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman
Before founding MediPharm Labs, Pat enjoyed a 15-year career in the pharmaceutical industry in top sales roles, successfully launching a wide range of medical products. He most recently worked at Janssen Pharmaceuticals (Johnson & Johnson) where he led the Hospital Division for Renal and Mental Health products. Pat’s foresight in creating a business that focuses on advanced cannabis concentrates bodes well for medical research, investors and consumers alike. Pat holds an HBSc (Biology) degree from the University of Western Ontario.
Peter Schippen is a British-born entrepreneur, best known for his work in the Canadian financial services industry, where he founded a business that he grew and ultimately sold to Purpose Investments.
Peter spent 7 years working in Canadian banking, in investment research, holding increasingly senior positions at Bank of Montreal and TD Bank. In 2007, Peter acquired a company that would eventually become Redwood Asset Management. Under his tenure, AUM grew steadily despite market challenges, and was acquired by Purpose Investments in 2016. As an early investor in the Canadian cannabis market, Peter was involved in the conception the Medical Cannabis and Wellness ETF that is listed on the LSE under CBDX.
Peter is a CFA Charterholder, CAIA Charterholder and recently received his ICD designation through the Institute for Corporate Directors and the University of Toronto. Peter completed his undergraduate degree in economics at Wilfrid Laurier University.
