It's really important to take care of your feet, especially when you're doing a bunch of hiking. After all, your feet are your primary mode of transportation on many hunting adventures. It's really easy to get some blisters on your feet if you're not careful, which is a recipe for a NOT fun hunt.
So here are a few things I've learned over the years about how to take care of your feet so you can focus on enjoying your hunt.

Well, I just got back from my second hunt of 2019 and, unfortunately, my New Mexico mule deer hunt did not go as well as my hunt up in Colorado at the beginning of October. Even so, I still had a nice trip, saw a lot of wildlife, and I learned some more valuable lessons that I'm happy to share with you.

I don't know if you heard or not, but the hunting community is facing some serious problems associated with a severe long term decline in hunter numbers. The bad news is that this is related to some demographic challenges that will very likely get worse if we don't do something about it. However, the good news is that there are some great programs out there to help combat and hopefully, reverse this decline in hunter numbers.

While mountain goat, moose, and sheep tags are never easy to draw, your odds of success are only truly 0% if you don't apply. If you want to make an informed decision on which states are best for you to try your luck in for tough to draw species, then I also recommend heading over to GoHunt and signing up for their INSIDER membership to start researching those once in a lifetime tags you've always been dreaming of. Certain states are much better than others for non-resident applications for moose, goat and sheep, and spending a little bit of money with a GoHunt Insider Membership to get the best information to plan your application strategy can save you a lot of time and money in the long run.
Check them out at GoHunt.com and Use the promo code "BIGGAMEHUNTER" when you sign up for a new INSIDER membership to get $50 in store credit at the goHUNT gear shop.
