The fight between the Mountain and the Red Viper was an exciting moment from the books that we were waiting for, but the Battle at The Wall is a series of epic asskickery scenes that we’ve been salivating for.  And you know what, we weren’t disappointed.  Giants. A swinging scythe. Fire arrows. Oil barrels. And fat Sam, once again, showing he has more bravery than most of the other crows of the Night’s Watch.  Director Neil Marshall does a masterful job of showing the scale of battle, shooting stylistic sword fight scenes (even though Jim Law hates them), and what a giant shooting a giant fucking arrow looks like.  Can he direct every episode?  Epic shit folks.

As the Mexican lurks around Michigan on his mystery tour, Ammon and Law strap in for another epic conversation about TV, movies, books, and drunk stupidity. Ammon previews his Friday the 13th camping trip next weekend and elaborates on how his wife and him will probably be slaughtered in their tent.

Google Voice is no match for Ammon at this point. He takes a few of the most ridiculous messages ever and nails them without even thinking twice. And he cheats a little bit.

TV Round-Up is jam-packed with talk of Game of Thrones, Fargo, 24, Hannibal, Orange Is the New Black, and Hannibal.

We both check out GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL (and give an actual review that makes sense) and EDGE OF TOMORROW and spew love out of every one of our orifices. Then Ammon revisits MULHOLLAND DRIVE and RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK with his kids for the first time and catches up with BLUE RUIN and GODZILLA. Law also checks out 300: RISE OF AN EMPIRE and WILLOW CREEK.

This week Kupka and Jack play a game of “Have You Heard…?”, which is where each provides the other with an album they love but the other hasn’t. The albums in question? Mega!! Kung Fu Radio by Powerman 5000 and Le Noise by Neil Young.  Can you guess who likes which? Well I’m not gonna tell you if you’re right, you’re going to have to listen. That’s not enough incentive? Was it just us or did this whole episode feel like some type of fantasy, dream sequence?  It’s one of the best shot episodes of the series so far.  And what can we make of the time jump?  With so many questions left in these final two episodes, and how the story gives us a piece here and there of where the show is going, it’s becoming one of the most frustrating series to predict in the most enjoyable way.

This was supposed to be a part of Monday’s Binge Cast but with all the love we had to give Jimmy O we decided to save it for another time. This is that other time. Consider this the Inception of Binge Casts. It is the Drunk Segment within it’s own Drunk Segment. We are simply drunk as shit talking about this other time we were drunk as shit, listening to Moreno try to review THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL. There are four parts to this debacle and each one gets better (worse). Law had no interest in what Moreno is saying and Ammon is just pointing and laughing at him throughout. Moreno’s frustration is only barely over-matched by his drunkenness.

Anyway, you get the point. We drink.

We’ve been waiting all season for the trial by combat and we finally get it in the latest GoT episode. Did it live up to the hype?  Are we satisfied with how it played out?  Can you imagine dick eyes on Peter Baelish as he looks lovingly/creepily at Sansa?  I have to remind Law for the 94th time this season that Sansa, Sophie Turner, is underage.  It’s weird.

After recording last week’s Binge Cast, Moreno and I were hanging around doing drunk shit for a couple hours. One of those things was a text to Jimmy O about coming on our show to promote AIRPLANE VS. VOLCANO. I pressed send and we giggled as we waited for a cease and desist letter to arrive in our inboxes. And then Jimmy O messaged back and said “Let’s do it!” So here we are, with a moment we thought would never happen on BingeMedia.net, it’s the reunion of Jimmy O, Moreno, Ammon, and Law during one of most epic shows imaginable.

Jimmy has tons of dirt on AIRPLANE VS. VOLCANO, his future in the business, life after losing 130 lbs, and his love for the TV show, Nashville. He also has reviews of MALEFICENT, and TRUST ME.

Moreno checks out CHEF, Ammon watches 387 older movies and THE SECRET LIFE OF WALTER MITTY. Law is entertained by OCULUS and bored to death with MONUMENTS MEN.

All this and tons of Fargo, Dusk till Dawn, Hannibal, Louie, and Penny Dreadful talk with a fantastic new TV Round-Up sounder from Pete MC.

Listen, we love Jimmy O with a passion and couldn’t be happier to help promote his involvement with AvsV. I have no idea if this could be a regular thing looking ahead but it sure was a blast to have one more night with one of the best guys in the world.

Episode 7 takes a different tone after last week’s bloodbath. In a lot of ways, it’s a good reset for the characters to re-establish where they are in the grand story, and also to start that final arc that leads to the end of the season.  MovieFreak and I discuss the show’s similarities to Breaking Bad and how alike Lester Nygard and Walter White.  After this episode, you can see how valid the comparisons are.  Get over it.

Law and Moreno get a little old school on the Binge Cast this week. After packing Ammon up and sending him camping for the week, the boys whip out the old Drunk Segment. It’s simply audio from a conversation we had last week but slowed down to make us seem even drunker but f-me if it’s not hilarious. Every time.

As for show stuff – TV Round-Up features lots of Fargo and Game of Thrones talk. Google Voiuce still sucks. Moreno checks out some more 30 For 30 docs and finally talks about ENEMY. Law tries to straighten things out in the X-Men universe with X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST and sits through a trilogy of films that his dad picks out. Not good.
