    Today’s guest is no stranger of winning the “big game”. A young coach, teacher and educator, father, by the name of Kenyon Garner joins us on today’s show! He stands pridefully as the East Nashville Middle School Girls Basketball Coach, 🏀 got a few awards and accolades to show for it, and has coaching experience in other facets. Coach Kenny also is pretty handy in the kitchen, 🍗 as he also has a catering business that has fed many across the city . On today’s episode, he vents about just how important it is for black (our) people to be mentally stable. Being a coach, a father, and all the roles he possesses , Kenny says that a lot of his mental health challenges are balanced once he is able to reunite with his kids.     A native of Murfreesboro, TN, Austin grew up knowing who he was once he reached adulthood . A graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, and again apart of the Eta Gamma Chapter of ΚΑΨ, and overall … just a humble guy to meet . Austin vents about working in the medical field , talking to us about how he has done 4 C-sections in his career so far which is so dope! One thing we can say … is Mr. Bragdon surely loves and adores his wife . He referred to his marriage a lot as well as God’s presence and power , stating that one of his biggest failures led him to his wife . He vents about how marriage is an investment, and it truly takes time and effort to be one with someone else . Interracial relationships was also discussed as Austin vented about how that never was an issue for him. He knew how to handle his anxieties as a young man, and today, is proudly married and even has a little gift from heaven on the way very, very soon 👶🏻🤍.

Born and raised in East Nashville, Ty talked to us about his ups and downs that’s led to the humility he possesses today .     Daniel Westbrooks, an East Nashville native, joins us today on The Black Men Vent Too Podcast. Daniel is a father of two young girls, and part founder of the organization called “The Dream Initiative” which is a collective group that goes inside of prisons to teach life skills, restorative justice practices, and so much more .
    Pops said in the episode he’s got “a million dollar smile”, and it’s amazing because he has truly endured a lot . Daniel vents with us about the frustrations that come with people labeling your past, (based off his life currently) with your present . He talks about how the affects of not getting a second chance as black men by society and how it affects him today in his own life. We as black men have to fight so much, for so little, only because we’re labeled by who we were, and not who we are. Don’t miss todays episode, it’s a good one for sure!

His life literally almost gone … BUT GOD . He vents with us heavily behind his experience with that, and how he is using his push with restorative justice in Chicago to defy the stereotype that the world often sees his city as .     A very humble brother, kindred spirit, and just a young man that does not fit the stereotype that’s placed on us as black men by society . Blake Woodard , a member of St. James AME Church in Dickson , TN , credits the pride that comes with having a relationship with Jesus Christ . He talks highly about how God has guided him and gives a lot of recognition to his parents behind his successes . Here is a 27 year old black man Nashville that (you’ll hear in today’s episode) has NO tattoos , NO social media , currently has a house being built from the ground up , he has a career job , and is by far one of the most humble individuals we’ve had at the BMVT table . Major shoutout to Blake’s parents , they’ve truly raised a young man that even with his own mental health challenges , he’s found a way to persevere . You guys surely will enjoy today’s episode!
