Former Chicago Bears defensive tackle Steve ‘Mongo’ McMichael died at age 67 yesterday, following a battle with ALS. Dan Hampton spent plenty of time with McMichael. They played on the same defensive line; played in the same band; and after McMichael’s induction last August, they’re both belong to an exclusive club: the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Hampton joined Bob Sirott and Andy Masur to share some of his favorite memories of ‘Mongo’.
