City of Boise officials have been focused on increasing affordable housing, as our community’s growth has pushed out even some middle-income earners. But with everything from interest rates to labor shortages in their way last year — how was the city able to add 250 homes at Boise budgets — and is it enough? Nicki Olivier Hellenkamp is the city’s Director of Housing and Homelessness Policy, and is here to explain.
