On Bold and the Beautiful on CBS, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) is in a surgery-induced coma following a gunshot wound, drastically altering the course of events on the beloved soap opera. Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada) was responsible for Liam's condition, and the fallout of this event has a ripple effect.

B&B sees Liam's surgery was performed by Dr. John Finnegan (Tanner Novlan), while Luna's life-saving surgery was controversially conducted by her aunt, Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda), and Bridget Forrester (Ashley Jones), against medical ethics. Meanwhile, Sheila Carter's (Kimberlin Brown) minor toe operation was successfully completed by Doctor Grace Buckingham (Cassandra Creech).

Bold and Beautiful sees the situation leads to Luna's death and Liam's coma, as confirmed by the show's reliable leakers. It is speculated that Liam's coma could last from a day to six months, or even potentially lead to his death due to his existing cancerous brain tumor. However, the coma may also provide an opportunity for Doctor Grace Buckingham to treat Liam's cancer more aggressively, possibly leading to his miraculous recovery. This development could have significant implications for characters like Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) and Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor), who may have to rethink their future.

B&B sees that in the wake of Luna's death, Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) is likely to be wracked with guilt, considering he was instrumental in Luna's release. The repercussions of Liam's coma may also include Liam taking over as CEO of Spencer Publications and dealing with the psychological impact of having taken Luna's life. Luna's shooting seems to mark the exit of Lisa Yamada from the cast, while also providing a reboot for Liam's character, potentially leading to a new life with Hope and possibly some deeper psychological issues to confront.
