In this episode, I’m joined by my friend and powerhouse, Kate Bradley Byars, for a conversation about grit, giving back, and helping cowgirl entrepreneurs thrive.
Kate is one of the co-founders of Boss Mares Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to supporting women in the ag and western industries with real resources, including grant funding, business tools, and workshops. We talk about what it means to be a boss mare, the power of traditional connections in a digital world, and why women in this industry deserve more than just encouragement; they deserve real support.
We also preview the Lead the Herd event in Fort Worth on January 17th, 2026, during the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo at the National Cowgirl Hall of Fame and Museum. The one-day workshop will bring business and marketing expertise to attendees free of charge, with the mission of giving cowgirl entrepreneurs a leg up. I’m so excited to be speaking alongside an incredible lineup of women who are leading, building, and blazing trails in their businesses.
This episode is a full-circle look at what happens when cowgirls support cowgirls, not just in spirit, but with time, money, and mentorship. Whether you’re building a business or cheering someone else on, this one will leave you inspired.
