The Celtics defeat the Hornets 113-107 and are now 10-4 in their last 14 games. They are really looking like they are turning the corner and hopefully this keeps up. Tonight, the Celtics ball and player movement was as good as we've seen all season long. They ended the night with 31 assists with Tatum leading the way with 9 but we also saw both Smart and JB add in 6 each. In a game where both Tatum and JB scored less than 20, to come out of this with a win is impressive and it all boiled down to other guys stepping up in a major way and them playing team ball. Richardson led the team with 23pts today on 6-8 from 3 and Smart was right behind him with 22pts. This was a great win over a pretty solid Hornets team and gets the Celtics just .5 games out of the 7th seed. There's still a lot of season left. Let's Go C's!

The Celtics faced off against a very depleted Heat team missing Jimmy Butler, Kyle Lowry and PJ Tucker and took full advantage of it tonight in this big 122-92 W. The Celtics came out firing on all cylinders ending the first quarter up 27-14 but found themselves tied shortly after. After an Ime timeout, the Celtics flipped a switch and ended the 2nd quarter up 9 before blowing the doors off the game in the 3rd where they outscored the Heat 40-25. This was one of the rare circumstances where the entire starting lineup played really well which was great to see. JB had a great scoring night but we also saw great overall performances from both Smart and Horford. Smart led the team again with 7 assists but he also led the team from 3 while shooting 4-7. Overall, there aren't many negatives to take away form this game. Dennis Schroder played poorly again and continues to solidify his case to be traded and that's about it. The Celtics are now 2 games above .500 and find themselves in the 9 spot in the Eastern Conference with a game on Wednesday against the Hornets. Let's see if they can make a push prior to the All Star Break.

Here we are 50 games into this season and we are back at .500 yet again. After two unbelievable shooting performances from deep going 44% and 48% against the Kings and Wizards respectively, the Celtics went back to their norm to shoot a scorching 19% from 3 losing to the Hawks 108-92. The funny part about this loss is that shooting 19% isn't the main reason we lost this game. The biggest reason in my eyes came down to turnovers. The Celtics turned the ball over 18 times resulting in 24 points for the Hawks. The Celtics sit at 17th in the NBA in turnovers per game averaging 14 per game and tonight they added in another 4. Overall, it was a pretty gross game both offensively and defensively. The Celtics look to bounce back tomorrow night against the Pelicans on the road before heading back to Boston to face off against the scorching hot Miami Heat.

Both of the Jays went off and scored 66 combined points on very efficient shooting numbers, Timelord had a monster game with 13pts, 17reb, 4ast, 3stl and 2blk and Marcus Smart did a fantastic job facilitating. This was as complete of a game as we have seen all year highlighted by 32 assists, 44% shooting from 3 and excellent defense holding another team under 90. It's completely unrealistic to think this level of play in sustainable but we've at least got to witness 2 very well executed games in a row since we got our starting lineup back and healthy. Let's see if they can do it again on Friday in Atlanta!
