Jayson Tatum goes NUCLEAR and scores 46pts in Game 6 beating the Bucks 108-95 to tie the series 3-3. With this huge win, we force a Game 7 in Boston! This is the exact reason the Celtics fought for that 2 seed! Honestly, there isn't much you can't say about Tatum after this game. We haven't really had that huge Tatum Takeover Game this series and this was for sure it. Every time the Bucks made a run, Tatum was there with a huge answer. He scored 11 straight pts for the Celtics in the 4th quarter and was as clutch as it gets.

Marcus Smart was also spectacular tonight going for 21pts on 5-9 from 3 along with 5reb and 7ast. Grant got in foul trouble in this one so Smart was also tasked with defending Giannis for a large portion of tonight and he held his own. Overall, it is hard to find negatives in todays game. This is the first game this series where the Celtics truly played a great 4 quarters. Celtics look to advance to the ECF after Game 7 on Sunday at 3:30 EST!

Man, I'm sick to my stomach after this loss. 3 quarters of great play outshined by a brutal 4th quarter. Celtics lose to the Bucks 110-107 because of a Bobby Portis putback. The last 30 seconds went the exact way you would've wanted. Tatum drives to the rack and gets to the line, hits both free throws and preserves the 2 for 1 opportunity and then you foul Giannis forcing him to the FT line. He misses one of them but then the Celtics failed to secure the rebound and Bobby Portis puts it back for the game winner. That one play is going to outshine all of the good things that happened tonight and that is a shame. Celtics are now forced to win Game 6 in Milwaukee on Friday the 13th and force a Game 7.

Wow what more can you say about Al Horford! He led the Celtics to a massive 116-108 win against the Bucks in a must win game. This guy at 35 years old just had the best playoff game of his career with 30pts 8reb and 3ast on 11-14 from the field including a couple of massive baskets down the stretch. Tatum had the breakout game we needed contributing 30 also with a huge second half. This game was pretty ugly for the majority of it BUT the Celtics turned the heat up in the 4th and outscored the Bucks 43-28.

We saw Ime make a huge adjustment that really paid off which was sitting Grant in the 4th and opting for a smaller lineup with Derrick White and White delivered. He had an excellent defensive performance including a charge drawn and a huge defensive stand on Holiday late in the game and also contributed on the offensive end which was great to see. The shots still weren't falling the way you want to see for 4 straight quarters but that 4th quarter shows you that it truly isn't over till the fat lady sings. The Celtics took back home court advantage with this win and look to take advantage of that during Game 5 Wednesday night.

The Celtics fall to the Bucks 103-101 and fall behind 2-1 in the series. This was a game they had no business even being in based on their shooting numbers. They shot just 37% from the field and 27% from 3. It was an abysmal shooting performance but somehow the Celtics were in this game till the very last second so how did we get there. Jaylen Brown and Al Horford turned the jets on and scored a combined 27pts in the 4th quarter and erased a 14 pt deficit to take the lead late in the fourth. Jaylen and Horford were sensational in this game and carried the offense most of the game.

This was one of the worst offensive performances of the year for Jayson Tatum. Normally when Tatums's shot isn't falling, he can focus on facilitating but tonight he had nothing working. He shot 4-19 from the field and 0-6 from 3 while only having 3 assists. The Celtics need a better performance from him in order to make this a series.

The Celtics came in and destroyed the Bucks 109-86 in a wire to wire win. If you break this down, you could have 3 different players of the game. Jaylen Brown was the clear player of the game in the first half where he scored 25pts on 9-10 shooting and was absolutely lights out. Then you have Tatum going nuclear in the 2nd half for 19pts in huge spots but the guy for that was lights out all night long was Grant Williams. Grant ended with 21pts 5reb 2ast and one of the best defensive games I have seen played against Giannis. He was a brick wall tonight and us being able to rely on Grant to play Giannis 1-on-1 instead of needing to double him allowed the Celtics to stay glued to their men and limited Giannis to only 7ast tonight compared to his 12 last game. That was the big adjustment Ime made on the defensive end.

The big difference tonight on the offensive end was guys just hitting shots. We shot historically bad last game and I don't think anyone expected that type of performance to happen again but tonight was the complete opposite. We ended the night shooting 48% from the field and 47% from 3 compared to just 33% from the field last game and a lot of that was due to the fact that guys did not settle for shots. They consistently drove and dished and the guys who caught the ball stayed aggressive and tried to get back in the paint to find an even better shot. This was a masterclass game and needs to be the blueprint moving forward.

This game was as ugly as we've seen from an offensive standpoint in a very long time. Defensively, I still think we played solid. We held the Bucks to just 101 points while giving up 27 points off of our 18 turnovers... That number is unacceptable but take away even half of those points and that is a respectable defensive performance. The offense today really struggled highlighted by the combined 10-31 shooting from the Jays which sort of carried over to the rest of the team.

The Celtics shot an abysmal 33% from the field and took 50 3pt attempts. You combine the turnovers with horrible shooting and you will lose that game 10 out of 10 times against bad teams. Do that against the Bucks and you stand no chance. This is only game 1 and as bad as it hurts losing Home Court Advantage, nobody should've thought the Bucks would lay down. This will be a tough battle but as long as the Celtics can get a better performance from the Jays (and I certainly think they will) and clean up the turnovers a bit, I still like the Celtics chances in this series.

The Celtics complete the SWEEP and send Kyrie Irving and the Brooklyn Nets packing after a 116-112 win. This was another impressive win headlined in my eyes by the play of Marcus Smart. He did everything tonight. He led the team with 11 assists but also made a lot of the "Marcus Smart DPOY Type Plays" tonight that put this Celtics team in a great position. We saw a lot of great performances throughout the team and Grant was a big piece of that as well providing great defense on Durant and hitting 4-6 from deep.

An underrated part of this victory is the fact that the Celtics needed to perform in the clutch without Jayson Tatum because he fouled out and they managed to pull it out. It's hard to keep this short because of how many great performances so we can leave it there. Everybody on the team contributed to this.

We now look forward to Round 2 likely against the Bucks. Milwaukee will likely be without Khris Middleton for the first 4 games because of his injury and the now the Celtics are fully healthy. The Playoffs are a game of attrition and the Celtics are getting healthy at the right time. This series should be a good one.

The Celtics came out with their sights on one thing and that is taking a 3-0 lead. This was a dominating 109-103 victory over Brooklyn and you love to see it. We finally saw Robert Williams get back on the court and play 16 minutes. His minutes were restricted but his game wasn't. He was sprinting down the court and jumping out of the gym again so that is a beautiful sight to see,

While that might be the storyline of the game because we are looking forward, Jayson Tatum was the star of the game tonight, He added 39pts 6ast and 6stl tonight and was an absolute pest on the defensive end. He was obviously great but this is another game where we got really solid contributions from everyone including another impressive 4th quarter from JB and solid overall game from Pritchard off the bench. When the Celtics play like this, there isn't a team in the NBA that can take them out.

We went from giving up 65 points in the first half to allowing just 42 in the second half. The Defense truly clamped down and played exactly the way we know they are capable of. Offensively, the first half was stale. Very little ball and player movement and we were getting killed on the glass that limited our transition opportunities and gave the Nets extra chances. The second half was the exact opposite. The offense was buzzing and we got a lot of help from guys like Pritchard (10pts), Grant (17pts) and even Theis (15pts). Al Horford also looks like vintage Atlanta Hawks All Star Al Horford. He's playing at such a high level right now.

While both of the Jays really struggled from the field through 3 quarters where they both had just 12 pts after the third, they both turned up in the 4th. Tatum added another 7pts in the 4th alongside his 10ast for the game but it was Jaylen Brown who really stepped up in a major way with 10pts in the 4th including a couple unbelievable defensive possessions.
