The Celtics led this one against the Bucks for 47 minutes and 30 seconds but a couple costly turnovers by Tatum threw this one away for the Celtics. We saw bright performances from Pritchard, and Jabari which was certainly good to see from the bench. Robert Williams and Marcus Smart had another solid game but it was the play of our stars Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown that held us back in this one. JB had a scorching hot start with 16 points in the first but followed it up with poor scoring efforts the remaining 3 quarters. Jayson Tatum was just off for the majority of the night and also had 4 turnovers that really hurt this team. This is an ugly one for sure but it is Christmas Day so think about all of the good things going on in this world and try to forget about this one. Life moves on.

The Celtics faced off against a Cavaliers team that was 3rd in the NBA in Defensive Efficiency and 4th in the NBA in Net Rating tonight and played a near 48 minutes. The Celtics certainly had lapses tonight but this was a solid game from start to finish and a game where they led by double digits for most of the night. JB and Timelord both had monster nights but we also saw Romeo and Pritchard contribute throughout. This was a particularly tough game for Tatum, Smart and Schroder who combined to shoot 8-37 (just 21%) which is just horrible. With that being said, this is a really impressive win. While Tatum didn't have a great shooting night, we saw him and JB play really well off of each other for the second straight game which was good to see. We also got to see the return of Iso Joe which was fun to watch. Before you fans start clamoring for an Iso Joe permanent return, slow your roll. They are not going to sign a 40 year old but regardless of that, it was definitely fun to see him out there. The Celtics return to .500 and face off against the Bucks on Christmas day!

Here we are with another game featuring a long injury report. The Celtics started this one off pretty sluggish falling behind 15-7 early forcing Ime to call a timeout. The Celtics adjusted fairly well the rest of the first quarter and played a solid second quarter battling back into this game despite shooting only 2-12 from 3 in the half. We saw another game where Pritchard played exceptionally well and he was the reason the Celtics battled back into this one. Tatum and Brown both did a good job getting downhill and either facilitating or getting to the free throw line for the large majority of the game as well. After a solid second and third quarter, the Celtics actually had as much as a 7 point lead in the fourth quarter Then they reverted back to their old ways of iso ball, turning the ball over and missing free throws which resulted in an 18-6 run in the final 4:14 for Philly which ultimately put this one out of contention. We saw 2 bad turnovers on inbounds plays in the last minute of play which is inexcusable. It is certainly a frustrating loss but when you have to rely on Freedom and Bruno as your only bigs, I don't know how much you can actually expect.

Richardson shines in the Kemba/Fournier revenge game and come out with big win against Knicks. The Celtics played 3 excellent quarters and got solid bench contributions from both Richardson (27pts 5reb 4ast) and Pritchard (16pts 3reb 3ast) which really helped make this game possible. Kemba and Fournier combined for 61 points but Richardson blocked every comeback the Knicks threw our way. This was by far the best game we have seen from Richardson this season as he shot 5-7 from 3 and raised his 3pt% up to 40% on the season. He has really become a player the Celtics can rely on at this point. Pritchard also balled out in the absence of Schroder and basically everyone else lol. Fun Pritchard stat for you: The Celtics are now 21-10 when Pritchard plays 20 minutes or more and 31-45 when he doesn't. I'm not saying Pritchard is the GOAT (seriously I'm not saying that) but he brings a different dynamic to this team when he is on and I think this solidifies my case for trading Schroder before he walks for nothing. You'll have to listen to the podcast for all the details but we can leave it here; the third quarter was an absolute nightmare. Outside of the third quarter, the other 3 quarters were fantastic basketball all around.
