We are so excited to share our 100th episode with you! Joining Kelly & Chelsea today are the husbands behind Brave Parenting: Ryan Newcom & Zach Hezel. They are the technical equipment support crew and production team that keeps us running. But more than that, they are Fathers doing the hard work of waiting and limiting with an end goal of holiness, not happiness. We ask serious questions and then quiz the men on their media and cultural savviness. We finish with a look into where Brave Parenting is headed.
In this Worldview Wednesday, we look at recent investigative reports regarding the pinboards created on Pinterest by adult men of young girls. We look at three different articles surrounding the growing problem of child sex abuse material through a biblical worldview in order to help parents make wise and God-honoring decisions regarding their child’s use of social media platforms.

This week we are aiming to answer the question, “What exactly is a Biblical worldview?” and, more importantly, “Do I have a Biblical worldview?” When we consider how secularism and materialism can become subtly absorbed worldviews just by living in Western society, it becomes obvious that it intentionality is required to decipher how the Bible should inform our views. Our special guest, Pastor Logan Talamas, provides awesome conversation on these topics.

In today’s episode, we look at the recent headlines about TikTok’s announcement that users under 18 will soon have a default time limit of 60 minutes. Summarizing five different articles, we apply a Biblical worldview to the reality of unhealthy habits (such as multiple hours of TikTok per day), how to stop, and whether or not it is sinful to continue doing what your conscience tells you is wrong.

This week’s Worldview Wednesday highlights headlines that swept the nation on February 13, 2023. The CDC released its most recent Youth Risk Behavior Survey for 2021, and the results show teen girls and lgbtq+ youth are in a major crisis and at risk. Kelly & Chelsea walk through the results, the proposed action steps, and how ridiculously insufficient they are. They provide five alternative reasons to explain the crisis – all of which parents can take action on immediately.

In this Valentine’s Day episode, Kelly & Chelsea take a biblical look at the HEART and how it is impacted by media and technology. Proverbs 4:23 says to “guard your heart above all else, for everything you do flows from it.” How do we guard our hearts against negative online influence? What happens if our hearts are left unguarded? Today, we get to the HEART of all these questions.

In this Worldview Wednesday episode Kelly and Chelsea tackle just one headline. The veteran school communication monitoring software company Gaggle has deemed it now irrelevant and unnecessary to alert school administration when words falling under the LGBTQ banner are used in student communications. The company’s stated goal is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of every student but one must ask, based on statistics of mental health and wellbeing of LGBTQ youth, if their change in ethics actually serves their goals? And, how does all of this impact a Biblical worldview?
