It's easy to not see that we are spiraling out of control. We think we are OK but then we start hurting people with our quick reactions and emotional outbursts. We start snapping off and it can bring us to a very unfavorable place. Maybe the hospital, jail or even worse the grave. So how do we manage this? I dive in and see if there's a way
Have you ever heard yourself say that? I hate people! Maybe some are pissing you are. Maybe you're having a bad day. Or maybe they are having a bad day. I want to explore why we irritate each other so much and we let so much silly shit about us bother each other. I guess this is another shot at a beautiful utopia, or just challenging people to live and think mindfully.
Sure scary movies, bumps in the night, and axe murderers could be scary. However, there is nothing more frightening that keeping a costume on for the sake of not being your true authentic self. We talk about the reasons we don't show ourselves to others and the fear of letting those go who don't accept us. All with a little but of Halloween flair. Why not?
We all have bad days, but we don't live in that day forever. How do we move past the bad stuff that happens? How can we stay mindful and use the intellect to tell us how to move forward? Can we move forward knowing the new day, aka tomorrow is coming? I look at those questions and more here.
We all love to talk but not everyone loves to listen. Maybe some people think they listen, but they may be waiting just to talk again and appear to be listening. Today I focus on ways we can listen more consciously, and have a bigger effect on others. This is to me too as I know I can improve too.
We all make excuses why we can't do things for ourselves or to be better, but what we don't realize is we don't have all the time in the world. Our ticket can be punched out of nowhere and I guess maybe it doesn't matter because we're no longer in this world. However we need to make the best of everything while we here.
We always should try not to find ourselves falling into a deep hole in life despite how difficult it can be. We come out from the deep holes we create for ourselves and learn how to let the moments our life guide us to making new and wonderful ones moving forward.
Our kids notice everything. What we say and do, how we act and react. Furthermore, they have a very difficult life to live right now. So many outside influences and it isn't just those Eddie Haskells anymore. We dive in and explore this and figure out how can we provide a safe space for our kids, and hopefully find a way to believe in us.
It is not the longest episode ever, but may quite be the most controversial. In wake of many events that have happened this past week, I explore the idiocy of tribalism and brainwashing. I speak about how social media and cable network news has made us all crazy. The unnecessary calling out crap that people do and I ask how can we be better and not allow the powers that be and all this other stuff make us lose our humanity.
This last month has been really tough for me, and I have had many mental health moments. Depressing moments, panic attacks, and I crashed out yesterday. I talk about how that felt and what I do to move forward and not be to hard on myself for it.
