The week between Christmas and New Years Day is like a bridge, and it offers us the perfect time to reflect on the past year, to identify what we did and did not accomplish and prepare ourselves to do better in the year ahead. Yet in other areas you likely made strides in the right direction. As you evaluate the past year, surely some areas needed improvement. Perhaps you were more attentive to family, developed more patience or prayed more regularly. If not, avoid discouragement and make a plan to improve going forward. God has grated you with a new day to repent and try again. Thank God for the areas in which you advanced and pray for the grace to see the gaps in which you need to grow and begin today!
